After your classes ended, you hurried to laboratory. Opening the door they all looked at you and you just ran to Oreiro. "My my. I missed you too, (Y/n)," Oreiro laughed and hugged you back. "What were you doing?" you asked her while breaking the hug. "I don't have energy for doing anything big, so just simple crystal from salt for my sister," she sighed. "Oh no," you looked at her with serious look, "It's time for me to be your therapist. What happened?" She sighed again and looked at you. "Do you know how to dance?" she asked you. Your eyes widened and suddenly you didn't know how to answer. "My mother is a great dancer so I got some moves from her, but, why?" you were confused and she sighed... Again! What are you hiding from me, Oreiro? "Can you teach me something?" she looked at you with puppy eyes. Where did you learn that?! "I don't know...-" "GUYS! We are having a party while the president is not here!" someone shouted. "I'm not sure if we- Who am I kidding? We totally should show this nerds how it's done," you winked at Oreiro. She smirked and then one of the other girls gave you her speaker. Once you connected your cell phone to it by bluetooth, you started to scroll through many choices. "Are we dancing normally or in a pairs?" you asked Oreiro, but suddenly everyone shouted- "In pairssssssss!!" You chuckled and nodded. Before starting the music you grabbed one of the boys to show other how to do it. Boys started to whistle and clap at you two and the poor boy was so embarrassed.
"It's easy. Girl will put her left hand in boy's right hand and wait for the beat. Then four steps forward to the direction where the door is, turn on your place so you're facing backwards to the door and girl will put her right hand in boy's left hand, four steps backwards, then do the same and now we are on the same places, where we started," you were doing it slowly so even your partner understood your actions. Everyone were looking at your movements really carefully and some of them were even recording. "Jump towards each other and then away from each other, grab your partners hands and make a turn by girl going in front of the boy, boy doing the same and switch places. Again jump in and out and final move. Girl goes under boys hand and go behind to another boy. So basically. If every girl do this change of a partner, the effect will be great," you lastly explained, hoping they all understood. "Ok... If you all are ready you can go and find your partner," you smiled and everyone's faces dropped in that very moment. "Of course. You can go too," you looked at your now ex-partner for dancing.
After little bit of a chaos they all were ready. "And one last thing," you announced. They all looked at you. "If the change in the end is supposed to work, then you have to be in the circle. So please boys will be in the inner side and girls in the outer side of the circle." What is he always saying? Oh yes. Now I say, that's exhilarating! You started the music (Posin' by Peggy Suave (the steps are good for this beat :D)), counted steps with them and shouted what they are supposed to do while watched everyone doing fails, but gradually they became more confident and you were proud on your 6 pairs you are teaching. They are growing so fast! You swept away your imaginary tear and just couldn't stop smiling. The song was almost over when the door opened with other random 4 people. "We want to learn too," they exclaimed and even without asking joined others. You chuckled and then taught other dances as 'Irish women' and 'Egypt dance'.
"Well..." you looked at them and by their looks in their faces you knew they want more, but you wanted to tease them. "That's all-" "We want Posin'!" one of the boys started to repeat and others joined him shortly after. "But what about the Irish women?" you asked innocently, but a smile crept on your lips. "Nooooo!!!" You laughed and told them to get in the pairs. All of them did as you said and were impatiently waiting for you to play the music. Then you heard a sound of somebody taking a picture. You looked at your left and saw Senku with cell phone looking at the picture he just took. "President!" one of the girls shouted with a big smile. "Yes yes. Now. Can someone tell me what for the love of Edison is happening?" he asked looking at you with speaker next to your right and cell phone in your hand. "Ehm... They wanted to have a little dance lesson...? Yeah, I'm helping," you explained and smirked, when he came closer to you. "As long as they won't interrupt me, you can have your fun, but only this once. Understood?" he looked at all of you. Everyone were saying 'yes, sir' and just agreeing. You finally played the music and they all waited for the beat. "And what about you?" you turned to him and asked. "Wha-..." he sighed, "Why are you asking if you know I won't dance even when you ask?" "Weeeell. And when I say please?" You laughed when he looked at you with 'are you kidding me expression'. "I don't have time for crap like that. If they are enjoying it then sure, but I'll rather do my own business," he said and grabbed some test tubes with a stand for them. "But what about the experience you can gain from this... And I want to enjoy it too, but I don't have a partner," you said, pretending to be sad. "Will this help in our friendship or whatever?" he asked purposely not looking at you. A smirk grew on your face. "Of course-" "Fine then," he said bluntly. "Oh my. You look unbothered," you laughed. "Don't make such deal out of it."
You knew he wouldn't like to dance in a circle so you went to the windows to have some space. The song was halfway over and you needed to do this fast. It's now or never. You grabbed his hand and made four steps forward while silently telling him what to do. After first explanation he immediately memorized every single move, but his main problem was the beat so you kept counting. You weren't doing the change in the end just made another turn to come back to your starting positions. "Where did you learned this?" he asked you curiously. "In summer camps. It's just a coincidence that this song fits perfectly," you smiled at him. You didn't even realize he was moving without you counting anymore. "Thank you for the dance, by the way," you said. "Guess it doesn't hurt to have a little break," he too smiled a little at the floor, observing his every move to synchronize them with yours perfect ones. He was amazed. His other two friends never interrupted him, or at least successfully, but you did it and he even enjoyed your attention. Where's the logic now?!
The song ended and you both had to go back to work. As much as others were pleading Senku to allow them to dance he didn't allow it. Then they pleaded you to change his mind, but you just smiled them off. For the rest of the day the laboratory had a great atmosphere and you and Senku really acted like good old friends. Oreiro's got some motivation to do other experiments, some of the girls were watching the videos from your dance section, boys didn't touch Asagiri Gen's book for the whole day, but were just thinking about it, Senku gave you a whole speech about birds turned into the stone and you actually listened to it with genuine interest. In the end he allowed you and others to have one day in a week with background music while working. Without dancing thou. But you all didn't mind just celebrated new level for a science club. The members especially celebrated the fact that as long as you are here by Senku's side it will be more easier to make deals with him and that's what they for sure want to make a use out of.
