"Thieves are those who steal in silence"

——

I stare ahead of me in silence, the few of our belongings on the ground like our clothes. But other than that everything seemed as if nothing unusual had happened, except the fact our belongings, Damien's car were all gone.

Leaving us stranded with nothing.

"Is this not just humorous." Damien said from behind me as he let out a small chuckle, but I could hear the anger behind it. I turned around glaring at him.
"Your blaming me." I yelled at him, making him glare at me as he approached me grabbing ahold of both my arms and pulling me till my chest was pressed against him.

"I told you not to get out the car, but did you listen. No." He yelled, before letting me go. I scowled at him, I approached him digging my fingers into his chest repeatedly.
"Was I supposed to know, did I know that man was a mugger?" I asked, I already knew my mistake but I did not appreciate being blamed.

I was no god to know who was a mugger.

He let out a sigh, running his hands through his hair.
"Fuck." He yelled, turning around and looking everywhere in the dark narrowed road.

"Your the guy who's in a mafia, or leader whatever you are. How did you let them take our stuff." I began blaming him but he scoffed as he looked at me shaking his head.
"Want to know why I did nothing, there was at least twenty of them and ten of them were pointing their guns at you. One bullet from their end and they would have killed you." He snarled, cupping my face in his palms as he pressed his forehead against mine.

I let out a breath, closing my eyes.

"I-I'm sorry, it's my fault." I whispered, my fingers clutching onto his shirt keeping him close to me.
"Shh, you didn't know. We will get out of here, I promise you." He said and nodded my head, he pulled away grabbing my hands as we walked into the forests, brushing past the bushes. I stayed close to him as we continued to walk.

After walking which felt like hours we discovered an abandoned hut, making our way towards it. The nearer we got I could see the cracked window, and how old it looked. Their were woods missing, the door was creaking opening and shutting.

"It's too dark to know where we are at the moment, we just have to stay here until it gets morning." I nodded my head but I doubt he could see, but we walked inside the hut. There was a fire place in the far end and worn out rugs.

"Someone lived here before." I said as I looked around.
"It looks like a shooting hut, people would by huts when they would come for hunting. But by the looks of it no one has been here in years." Damien said as he bent down collecting woods before dashing them into the fire place, he pulled out a paper and a lighter from his pocket before lighting the paper and throwing it into the fire place.

I approached the fire place, getting down and crossing my legs warming myself. It was becoming chillier as the night went on.

"I would go on hunts like this with my father, we would hire a hut and then stay a couple nights and go hunting." He said as he settled down beside me, I turned my head to look at him he seemed in deep thoughts.
"You never talk about your father?" I asked, he turned his head to look at me I could see the pain in them.

"He died four years ago, a month after i received the news of Katherine's death. He had gone out hunting, he had asked me to join him but I had said no so trapped in my own word dealing with my own pain. We had no idea we had traitors amongst our own people, the guards he had taken with him had turned on him and had shot him dead. Thirty five bullets had been shot at him, they dumped his body in a lake." I gasped hearing how his dad died, I grabbed his hands squeezing it. No one deserves what he had gone through, he had lost his father so tragically.

"I-I am sorry for your lost, I should have not asked." I said but he shook his head I could see the anger in them.
"When I found those traitors, I made them pay for what they had done. Gave them the worst death anyone can hope for, I made them beg for life before I killer them." I bit my lower lips as I listened to him, I could hear the hatred in his voice.

"You seemed to love your father a lot." I said, hearing the lengths he went to receive justice for his father, in some weird way it showed how much he cared about him.
"My father was an amazing man, nothing like what you read in those stories. He loved his family, and his men. Believed in treating everyone equally, I admired him." He said a small smile forming on his lips as he seemed deep in thoughts.

"In some what way, your like your father." I said and he turned to me giving me a small smile.
"I am not, my father knew how to love but I let the women who I love walk away from me." I gulped my spit in my throat hearing his words, he sighed I could see the pain in his eyes.

"Sometimes you can love a person but it doesn't mean you are meant to be with them forever." I said as much as it pained me to say, Damien looked me in the eye before shaking his head.
"I won't stop, until I know you love me and want me." He said, but little did he know that I did love him, I still do. But I could never get over my fear.

"She still loves you." I said, that was what made me fear the most. I knew Katherine still had feelings for him, it was the reason why he objected at the wedding. And when I had seen him aid her for a moment I felt like I was the intruder. Like I had came in between them.

"She doesn't love me, love comes with accepting each other and understanding one another, she attempted to kill my child and disappeared for four years." I felt guilty for lying to him about my pregnancy, I could hear the desire he had for the baby that he thought was dead. He had missed four years of Mabel's life.

"I-I have to tell you something." He narrowed his eyes at me, I bit my lower lips as I struggled to speak. I had to tell him, the guilt inside of me was eating me up.
"What is it?" He asked, I opened my mouth but closed it again. My eyes teared up and he cupped my face caressing my cheeks.

"I-I'm P-Pregnant."
