Author Note: I actually wrote this with a plethora of moods. I can't explain how many mood changes I go through while writing a few parts, bits and pieces each day.

Maybe my mood even shows through some parts of this chapter :D

The chapter was cut in half cause I feel like it's too long. The rest will be in Chapter 6.

A sigh of relief escape Pearl's lip as the last of the warped effect caused by the Nether portal floated away. Her vision was a total blur. Stepping out with mild dizziness in her head, her leg feeling somewhat shaky.

Her balance was unstable and clumsy. Like a toddler. Causing her to almost crash into Martyn in the process as he also materializes from the portal.

His current state was no better than hers. An exact replica in fact. He let out an inaudible sound and drops to the floor.

It was only then, did the dizziness and sickening feeling washed down upon her with full force.

Pearl collapsed down herself, her breath coming out unevenly. There was a slight ringing sound in her head. Shaking her head to try and get rid of it. However, it didn't go like she wanted.

She made it into a sitting position a few minutes later, rubbing her forehead. Straining her eyes to focus, to keep them open mainly. Not wanting to fall asleep there.

Forcing the need to vomit down, she looked over to where her dog was. Tilly was just laying there, eyes in a daze. Panting and whimpering a little, and tilted her head to the left to rest against the rocky floor.

"Oh my words." Martyn gasps out, shifting into a sitting position a few feet away. Eyes a bit dull and unfocused. Staring at nothing in particular. "That feels better. A little... I never knew.. exiting the portal feels like this."

"I mean..." Pearl begins, pushing her bangs from her eyes. "Who are we to know that the in and out experience would be so different?"

They stared back at the portal Martyn made. Looking at it intently. As if that would give them some sort of explanation for their current health state. Normally, there would be nothing to worry about when Minecraft was played behind a computer screen.

She would just need to bring her Minecraft character into the Nether when the opportunity arises. Go about exploring and wandering until she finds something decent or good. Then she was out.

Nothing like this.

"I.. I blame Grian for this. He-" Martyn's words was cut off midsentence. His whole body shook and stoops forward. Eyes widen distraughtly before he abruptly turns. Scrambling away to a corner.

Then the sounds of throwup reached Pearl's ears.

That made her turn around briskly, covering her own mouth. She wasn't about to let his stroke of bad luck with regurgitation pass onto her.

Opening her inventory menu, her eyes traveled up to the time. It read 1:23 PM.

So we had spend 2 hours in there approximately.

A clearing of the throat made Pearl peer over her shoulder. Martyn's eyes glanced up at hers while wiping his mouth. "Like I was saying. It's Grian's fault. Made this shit too real."

"H-hey.. language buddy." Raising a hand up in mild warning. Then her eyes flew back to her inventory.

Filled with treasure from the Nether. Gold. Diamond horse armor. Nether warts. Soul sand. Blaze rods. Half a stack of Quartz.

She smiled at that.

Going into the Nether wasn't for naught. If her soulmate questions her, she'll tell them that she had made it out alive. Some burns, but she was alright. Inventory filled with good things.
