Gon's pov: I wake up in the same position I fell asleep in; wrapped around Killua. My phone is still on top of us, but we fell asleep, so it's off. Killua's still sleeping, so I guess I'll wait for him to wake up. I shift my body a little so it's more comfortable, then start to play with Killua's hair. My eyes close and I sit back happily. This weekend is all I could have asked for. Soon enough, I can feel Killua moving and waking up. I stop playing with his hair.
Killua's pov: "Morning, sleepyass!" I hear Gon say, which makes me grumble something about him shutting up. "Aw, come on, sunshine, let's get up!" Gon says, which makes me look at him. "Sunshine?" I question, eyeing him suspiciously. "Oh, whatever," he says, untangling himself from me and standing up. "C'mon, we woke up later than usual, let's go!" Gon says, and I look at my watch. "Oh, yeah, it's 10:26!" I exclaim, and jump out of bed behind Gon. We walk out of my room and head to the living room. Kurapika and Leorio sit there, talking. "Oh, well look who decided to wake up!" Leorio says jollily, standing up. Kurapika laughs to himself. "Well, anyways, we both have to leave, sadly. We were going to go this morning, but we wanted to wait for you. And you guys just looked so comfortable and we just left you alone to sleep," Leorio says. I blush. They looked at us while we were sleeping? That's creepy.
Kurapika stands up too, and hugs me, then Gon. "This weekend was fun! We should all hang out again some time!" he suggests, as Leorio hugs Gon and I. "Yeah, that sounds fun!" Gon says, and I hear a door open. "Wait, you guys are leaving?" I hear Alluka say. Kurapika nods. "Yep." Alluka rushes to hug both Kurapika and Leorio at the same time. She winks at them, and starts off to her room. But she stops. "Wait, Gon! Are you leaving too?" she asks, which seems to take him by surprise. "Oh. I didn't really think of it. I do probably have to get back to work soon, so yeah, I'll have to leave," Gon says, realizing the fact. "But I'll think about that later," he says. Then he turns back to Kurapika and Leorio, who are already at the door with their bags. "Thanks, Killua!" Pika says, and I nod, smiling at them. "Alright, bye!" we say to them, and the door closes behind them. Alluka walks back to her room and closes her door with a happy air about her.
Gon's pov: I drop my smile and turn to Killua. "I probably do need to go soon..." I say sadly. "That's alright," Killua says, smiling. "We should do this again though," he continues, and I smile at him. "Yeah, we should," I say. He starts walking to his room. "One minute, just gotta make my bed! I'll be right back," he says, and I chuckle. "Don't get lost in the blankets!" I call after him, and he sticks his tongue out at me. I flop on a chair and take out my phone.
My smile fades as I stare at the 167 unread messages from my girlfriend- or ex, I guess. I hover my finger over her contact button. I sigh, then click it. All the messages are things like; "I'm so sorry" or "I love you, please forgive me." I shift my eyes angrily to the side. "You wouldn't be pleading for me to come back if you still had your other guy. It's only because he left you too. So don't try it, bitch," I say, and block her.
I slip my phone back in my pocket and close my eyes. But I can't get the image of my girlfriend, of the tree, the knife, out of my mind. So they flutter open, and Killua edges into my vision. He's standing above me. "You okay?" he asks, and I start trying to talk, but the tears come before the words. So Killua just pulls me up so I'm standing, and hugs me. We stand like that for a while, but I don't count the minutes, or the seconds. I'm counting his heartbeat. I'm at 467 when we finally pull apart, and my tears are dried. He takes my face with his hands and looks me in the eyes. You're doing great, Gon. Now, shall we get you home?"
His smile is sweet when he helps me get my things. It's small, delicate, and other-wordly. When we all have it in a pile in front of the door, the sun is shining through the windows, and my heart feels like priceless molten gold. My existence feels unreal, inefficient, even, standing next to that beautiful boy.
"Okay, well, it's time to go," Killua says, then calls Alluka, who shows up quickly. "Goodbye, Gon!" she says, then "Come by anytime!" which makes me smile. "Of course," I say. "Have fun in school!" I tell her, which only makes her sigh and roll her eyes. Then she slinks back into her room to do who knows what. Killua laughs and waves for me. "C'mon, lemme show you my car," he says, and I grab my bag. "This better be good," I say. He opens the door for me and slips through after me. "This way," he says, and we walk to the left, instead of the right. We go down two flights of stairs and come into a garage. It smells like leather and new tires. "Okay, c'mon!" he says, leading me to the back of the garage. There's a black Chevy pickup, a blue Porsche, and a red Tesla. "No way! You got a convertible Porsche?" I ask excitedly. He looks at me in surprise. "How did you know?" he asks. I shake my head. "Oh, c'mon. Your favorite color is blue, you have a lot of money, and... I could just tell," I say, and he laughs at my list of reasons. "You're not wrong! Look at it, isn't it pretty?" he asks, and I nod my head. We walk up to it, and he unlocks it.
"It's a 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. It was a lot of money, definitely, but look at it!" he says, and I chuckle. Then he opens the door. "Alright, let's get you home."
The car ride is fun, we talk, laugh, and tell old stories. We finally arrive at my apartment, and step out of the car. I place my bag on the ground and hug Killua. I put the years of sadness and the days of happiness into it. I put the pain and the confusion into it. I put in the love and adoration I feel. I put the memories and the future. I put everything I have. It may not be now, maybe not in weeks, or months, or years, but someday, I will tell Killua just how much he means to me.
