Chapter 8

(pt.2)

When Wanda arrived to the compound, Nat was still asleep, so the brunette gently pulled the girl out of the car and carried her to the room, shushing her by gently rubbing circles on her back as soon as she started to stir a little.

Wanda managed to get Nat to her room without waking her up, she gently pulled off the younger girl's shoes before settling her comfortably on the bed, covering her and placing pillows around her to make sure Nat would not fall off the bed.

The brunette stood by the bed for a moment, just admiring how sweet Nat looks while sleeping, before she gently kissed the redhead on the temple and left the room, going back to the garage to get the newly bought items from the car.

Wanda quickly took the things out of her car and went back upstairs.She began to slowly take the items out of the bag just smiling at how adorable they are for her little one.She immediately grabbed the stuffed dinosaur and stood up to lay it on the bed next to Nat.

For a moment she did not know whether to give the girl a blanket or not, but she decided to wash it first, because she don't knowns if someone else had touched it before and she did not want to expose Tasha to any germs.She put the blanket aside for a moment making a mental note in her head to go put it into the washing machine before Nat will wake up.

Then she grabbed the bottles and the paci clip, putting them in the bottom drawer in her nightstand,both of these items will not be needed until later, so Wanda thought that there was no point in unpacking them right away.

Getting up again, she grabbed the pacifier in her hand and immediately pulled it out of the packaging and went to the bathroom to rinse it under the tap.After a while she came back to the room and put the pacifier on the desk. She grabbed the blanket from the floor and walked towards the laundry room, casting one more glance at the sleeping girl before she quietly left the room leaving the door open a little bit.

Coming out of the laundry, Wanda heard a crackle on the floor below,she hoped that the sudden sound did not wake Nat so she quickly moved towards her room only to find out that the younger girl was still asleep.Wanda smiled at the sight and turned towards the stairs to see what was the source of the sound.

Already halfway up the stairs she could hear Clint cursing to himself.Hawkeye had a broken phone in his hand so it must have been his phone that had fallen to the floor and made so much noise.

"Hey Clint,everything alright?" Wanda asked walking up to the man.

"Yes, I just wanted to put the phone down but I tripped and it fell to the ground."He laughed, lightly rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yeah I heard that, that's why I came down here."

"Oh...well have you heard that Pietro and Thor are coming back next week?" Clint said, quickly changing the subject to avoid further embarrassment.

"Wait really?Am I the last one to know about it?" Wanda was glad that her brother would come back soon, she would finally have someone to talk to about Nat.She knew Pietro would be really happy about it.

"Of course not, Fury told me that literally moments before I got here."

"Did he also tell you about the possible threat?" Wanda hopes that so far this 'threat' does not want to turn into a real danger, but she also knew that Fury never calls without a good reason.

"Yes, he said he had talked to Steve about it before and he said that as soon as Thor and Pietro will return we would have another meeting to discuss the start of any action plan." Clint frowned and sat down on the couch next to him.
