The better part of the world

Chapter 9

Wanda woke up around 8 when the sun was beating strongly through the curtains.She slowly adjusted her gaze to the brightness of the room and wanted to stretch, but she felt that a certain redhead was literally lying on top of her.

She smiled to herself, a good way to start the day.

However, after a while she remembered that the pleasant time was ending and she has to tell Nat about their tomorrow's mission.

So far, the younger girl was still sleeping, not worrying about anything that was going on around her, whenever she slept with the brunette, she seemed to be much more calm,she didn't have nightmares every day.

"An hour or two more won't hurt, I'll tell her after breakfast" Wanda said quietly to herself as she ran her hand through Nat's hair.

A few more minutes later Wanda began to wake the girl up.She ran the back of her hand on the redhead's cheek saying "Nat, honey, it's time to get up" just a little above a whisper.

After a while Natasha started to squirm, turning her head to the other side and nuzzling closer into Wanda's chest.

"Heeey no more sleeping, baby." Wanda said playfully poking Nat on the side of her back.In response, Nat just yawned ,causing the pacifier to fall out of her mouth and unfortunately fell to the floor. Nat looked at his spot and then raised her head towards the brunette and got up from her current position, sitting down slowly.She rubbed her eyes with her fist and smiled at Wanda.

The brunette returned the smile and then bit her lip, hiding the laugh at the little confusion of the redhead after the momentary loss of her paci.Wanda got up to a sitting position and was going to hug the redhead, but apparently the younger girl had other plans.

Nat lay down on her stomach and pushed her legs off the bed, sitting down quite abruptly on the floor.

Wanda frowned but she didn't say anything out of curiosity what Nat would do next.

After two minutes however, it turned out that her baby went on the adventure just to find the missing pacifier.Wanda couldn't help but smile at the sight of how carefully Nat tried to get the lost item out from under the bed.

As soon as the redhead grabbed it in her small hand, she wanted to put it in her mouth, but fortunately Wanda was a bit faster and managed to stop her from doing it.The brunette took the pacifier from Nat's hands and picked up the girl and went with her to the bathroom.

"We're not putting anything in our mouths that was on the floor before ,okay bunny? Even your paci,I'll rinse it first."  Wanda said as she sat Nat on the counter by the sink.

Nat nodded and waited for Wanda to finish pouring an infinite amount of water on the pacifier, which was not so dirty at all, sometimes Nat did not understand the brunette's approach to even a small amount of dust.

"What are you thinking about,sweetheart?"  Wanda asked, putting her hand on Nat's knee.

"'unno (don't know)" Nat stretched out her hands towards Wanda, wanting her to hug her.

"Someone is very cuddly today." Wanda said, giving Nat the pacifier and kissing her on the forehead.She picked Nat up and the girl hid her head in the side of brunette's neck.

"You want to pee before we go downstairs?" From day to day Nat seemed to be deeper in headspace and although so far the girl only had occasional accidents at night, Wanda preferred to remind her about visits to the bathroom to avoid her embarrassment and crying.

Nat shook her head without lifting it from the brunette's shoulder.Wanda saw that Nat was not fully well-rested yet, but for now she could not put her down for a nap, she hoped that after breakfast Nat would have more energy.
