Petalkit's Prophecy

Chapter 4, exploring the camp

"This is the apprentice's den." Snakekit said looking at a den that is a little bit smaller than the nursery. Petalkit looked at the plaintiff's den then at the nursery.

 "This is the warrior's den." Snakekit looking at a bigger den the opposite of the apprentice's den.

 "This is Moonstar's den." Snakekit said walking up to the big rock with a giant crack in it with ivy and lichen covering the entrance of the den.

 "This is medicine cat's den." Snakekit said walking to the entrance of a rock and bramble den. It also had a little stream next to it as well. So similar to the camp of thunderclan's. 

 "And lastly the elder's den." Snakekit said walking inside the den. Petalkit followed her inside to den with two cats in two nests close to each other.

 "Hey Honeythroat, hey Vanilla." Snakekit said looking at the two elders.

 " Hello Snakekit. " A white shecat said with her orange ear tips showing as she lifted her head up to see Snakekit looking at her. They were beautiful with gentle points at the end of each ear.

 "Hi Honeythroat." Snakekit said with a bright smile on her face and Honeythroat smiles too. Then Honeythroat looks behind Snakekit to see Petalkit looking at her too.

 "Hello little one, may I ask what is your name?" Honeythroat said with a warm smile.

 "My name is Petalkit." Petalkit said shyly looking down.

 "What a wonderful name for a beautiful kit." Honeythroat said looking at her still smiling at her.

 " Thanks, your beautiful name too. " Petalkit said returning the complement to Honeythroat.

 "Oh, how sweet of you." Honeythroat said with a even bigger smile to the compliment.

 " Vanilla, get up sleepy head. " Honeythroat said poking at the cinnamon tom who is sleeping in his nest. The tom poked his head up from Honeythroat's poking him awake.

 "What is it, Honeythroat?" The Tom said with a yawn right after he spoke.

 " We have a new kit in clan. " Honeythroat said to the tom.

 "Really?" The Tom said looking at the kit next to Snakekit.

 "Hello, little one." He said with a yawn.

 " my name is Petalkit. " Petalkit said to the tom.

 "Petalkit, what a good name for you, my name is Vanilla." The tom Said to Petalkit looking at her.

 " Vanilla and Honeythroat, right. " Petalkit said in a bit of confusion.

 "Yup, that are our names." Honeythroat said looking at Petalkit still.

 "Petalkit, why don't you tell us about yourself." Vanilla said at Petalkit.

 "Well, I was born in Thunderclan. My mother's name is Mapleshade and my two brother's names are Patchkit and Larchkit. My father's name is Appledusk. My father is riverclan and my mother is thunderclan so I'm half clan cat. I was banished from thunderclan because I was half clan cat." Petalkit said with a frown on her face looking down and started to cry from her memories. Snakekit sat next to Petalkit comforting her.

Honeythroat and Vanilla looked at her in shock and anger. Petalkit thought they were angry at her. But she was wrong.

 " I can't believe that you were banished for being half clan cat. " Honeythroat said in disbelief at her. "We are not angry at you just at the cats who banished you." Vanilla said looking at her with a sad face.

 " And I tried to cross a river with Mapleshade and my brothers, but my brothers had drowned in the river, but my mother is still alive somewhere thinking I'm dead too with my brothers who drowned. I passed out in the river and was washed up on a sanding river bank. I woke up their and got the water out of my lungs, I was founded by Moonstar and Cloudrose. They brought me here to Dawnclan, yesterday. " Petalkit said finishing her story in complete tears rolling down her face.

"Oh my goodness, you poor thing, you're safe here, I promise." Honeythroat said looking at her and gently placed her nose to Petalkit's cheek trying to wipe the years on Petalkit's face.

" Honeythroat is right, Petalkit, you are safe here. " Vanilla said looking at her in sadness to what he just heared from Petalkit's story.

"Hey Petalkit." Snakekit said looking at her friend.

"Yeah, what is it, Snakekit?" Petalkit said looking at her.

Then they all heared the patrols coming back with the smell of freshkill. 

"Why don't you two to see the others." Honeythroat said looking at both of them.

" Okay, thank you Honeythroat and Vanilla. " Petalkit said running out of the den in excitement and sadness from before too.

"Hey, don't leave me!" Snakekit squeaked running behind Petalkit.

Petalkit ran up to the cats in the clearing talking and some cats placing prey on the freshkill pile.

 "Hello Petalkit." Violetpaw said walking up to the running kit.

 Petalkit stoped running, but Snakekit crashed into Petalkit with both of them calling over. Snakekit was on top of Petalkit. Violetpaw chucked at the two kits.

"Hey watching where you are running!" Petalkit said in annoyance at Snakekit.

"I'm so sorry Petalkit!" Snakekit said jumping off of Petalkit quickly.

"It's okay, Snakekit." Petalkit said calming down.

"I'm guess you guys are having funny." Violetpaw said looking down at the kits who looked at up at her.

"Kind of." Petalkit said. "Yeah." Snakekit added.

"Did Snakekit showed you around camp?" Violetpaw asked the cinnamon colored kit.

"Yeah, she did." Petalkit said.

"Good." Violetpaw said with a smile on her face.

"So this is the new kit, I been hearing about." A white and grey Tom walked up to Petalkit.

"Yup, I'm Petalkit." Petalkit squeaked.

"I'm Axel, nice to meet you Petalkit." He said looking at her then walking away to Cloudrose his sister talking to her.

"Can you show me the rest of clan so I can meet them all?" Petalkit said looking at Violetpaw.

"Sure, I love to." Violetpaw said it the kit.
