Petalkit's Prophecy

Chapter 7, the first lesson

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ this chapter contains blood and gore. If you don't feel uncomfortable about blood and stuff like that then don't read this chapter. If you do read at your own risk. I will leave another warning later on in chapter when blood scene comes up. 

Petalpaw felt the excitement in her pelt and also feeling a little scared from the anger of Sunblossom from earlier, but she tries ignores the feeling in her stomach. 

 "We're here." Blueleaf said stopping and turning his head at the two apprentices. Sunblossom did same thing as Blueleaf did. 

 "Really?" Petalpaw asked him.

 " Yup. " he said. " Follow me, Petalpaw, Snakepaw, Sunblossom. " Blueleaf said walking in the tall grass. They all quickly followed behind him.

 "Are going to hunt?" Snakepaw said with excitement.

 "No sorry, Snakepaw, we do hunting another time." Sunblossom said to her apprentice.

 "Then what will we do?" Snakepaw asked in curiosity.

 " We are going to learn practice hunting crouches. " Sunblossom said to her.

"Alright! " Snakepaw said with delight in her voice. Petalpaw smiled at Snakepaw's enthusiasm. 

Then a Petalpaw stopped walking and looked at the sky as a familiar memory came to her mind as sky covered in specks of clouds. Like swirling storm clouds in the cloudy sky.

"You coming or not?" Snakepaw said to her. It snapped Petalpaw back to reality from her vision. Of Mapleshade. Covered in blood of three cats. She recognize when the cats are being Frecklewish, Appledusk, and Ravenwing too. She couldn't believe what she just saw the three cats died in front of her. She saw that Ravenwing had his throat cut open like someone had clawed or bitten it open there was blood all over his neck to his chest and some on his head too. He laid there. Lifeless. Like the dead looking his eyes, so cloudy like he was blind with cataracts. Frecklewish had her eye covered in the blood and Petalpaw looked closely. Was there a bite mark on her eye. Petalpaw was absolutely mortified at the sight of what happened to her and Ravenwing too. Petalpaw heared the sound of a snake slithering over leaf sound. Petalpaw looked down near to Frecklewish's body to the left of her body too Petalpaw. but to the right of Frecklewish body is facing Petalpaw. Then Petalpaw looked to her right to see her father! She was surprised to see him. Then saw that his throat was cut open likes Ravenwing was like. Petalpaw look to her left to see Ravenwing's body then Frecklewish in the middle and Appledusk on the right. She was scared. Then she saw two glowing amber eyes in the darkness behind the three bodies that was like a line that was separating them apart. Then the cat walked forward near Frecklewish's body was just lying there. Motionless. She looked dead as a dead leaf in leaf-fall on the ground. Petalpaw stared in horror. Terrified out of her mind. As the figure walked over Frecklewish's body and got closer to Petalpaw then she blinked, it disappear along with the three bodies too. Petalpaw looked down at the ground.  Her paws were shaking from what just happened. She got confused as to what just happened.

"Hello, Petalpaw!" Snakepaw screeched in Petalpaw's face and it made her jump in shock. 

 "Why did you do that for!" Petalpaw screamed at her friend then immediately regret for what she did. 

 Snakepaw jumped too I'm surprise as what her friend just did and so did the other warriors too.

 "I'm so sorry, I didn't know what came over me." Petalpaw said looking down at her paws with shame for what she did.

 " It's not your fault it was me, I screamed at your face and you reacted to my impatientness, but I won't try to do that again, I should be the one to be sorry to you, I'm sorry Petalpaw. " Snakepaw said with a sad and quiet tone. It didn't even sound like Snakepaw at all. Snakepaw is a very talkative, outgoing, and confident cat with a lot of personality and is very energetic for a young cat. Very energetic.
