Petalkit's Prophecy

Chapter 3, The Prophecy begins

Petalkit opens her eyes to a place that is unusual to her. Then two beams of lights coming to her and she tries to run away but she can't move at all. She is filled with fear as the two balls of light coming closer to her. The two balls of light stops in front of her then they turn into two familiar cats she knows. 

 "Patchkit, Larchkit!" Petalkit said in excitement to see them both again. 

"Hey petalkit" Patchkit said in a cheerful voice.

 "Patchkit, Larchkit, it's so good to see you guys again." Petalkit said with a purr in her throat. Then Petalkit was confused as to where Mapleshade is.

 "Where is Mapleshade?" Petalkit asked in confusion.

 Patchkit and Patchkit looked at each other and back at their sister with a frown.

 "Mapleshade is still alive, but it also warning to you as well." Patchkit said.

 Larchkit add "The reason why we are in your dream is because of a prophecy."

 "Prophecy?!" Petalkit said in shock. 

 "Listen closely Petalkit, when the leaf blows in the wind to the twilight falls." Patchkit said.

 " What?!, What are you saying. "Petalkit asked in confusion and shock of it all.

" Petalkit, calm down. " Larchkit said.

Petalkit started to calm down with heavy breaths. Petalkit looked at her brothers.

 "We will see you soon." Larchkit said with a smile. Patchkit add  "we love you very much." 

 "See you later my brother." Petalkit said with a sad smile. 

Petalkit vision was going blurry with a light very bright. Then she opened her eyes to see brambles above her. She was in the nursery. She carefully moved from Frostpool and Snakekit. She stretch her legs out and lick her pelt clean and lick her whiskers too. When she finish washing, she heared some talking outside the nursery. It must be the warriors planning to go on a dawn patrol. She quietly walked out of the nursery to see a lot of cats in the clearing talking.

They looked at Petalkit and Cloudrose walked up to her with purr in her throat.

 "Hello Petalkit, do you want to meet the other warrior here?" Cloudrose asked.

 "Sure, I love to meet them." Petalkit said with smile.

 "Follow me." Cloudrose said to Petalkit.

Petalkit followed her to group of cats who are talking.

 "Petalkit this the cats in Dawnclan, well mostly." Cloudrose said. 

 "This is Axel my brother." Cloudrose said looking at a white and grey tom with blue eyes. 

 "And that is Lillian our medicine cat, that is morningdew, shadowdawn, blueleaf, Sunblossom, Featherpool, redfur, Frozenmist, Stoneheart, hollydust, and violetpaw. The elders are Vanilla and Honeythroat." Cloudrose said cheerfully to Petalkit.

Petalkit looked at all of the cats around her and she saw an apprentice around the way is looked was around 10 or 11 moons old enough to be warrior. She knew it was Violetpaw because she is the only apprentice in the clan. Violetpaw's beautiful pelt made her stand out from her clanmates. Petalkit decided to go to talk to her. Petalkit walked up to Violetpaw. Violetpaw looked at the kit. They made eye contact for a few seconds until Violetpaw started the talking from the silence. 

 "Hello Petalkit, my name is Violetpaw." The shecat said looking at Petalkit.

 "It is very nice to meet you violetpaw, I have a question too?" Petalkit asked the tortoiseshell shecat.

 "What is your question, little one?" Violetpaw said to the little kit.

 " Are you only apprentice in Dawnclan and is Dawnclan a peaceful place to live at or a warzone? " Petalkit asked her quietly.

 " I am the only apprentice in Dawnclan, but I'll be a warrior in a moon from now. And also this place is peaceful for the most part but sometimes there is fights and problems too. It just how the way of life works stuff happens in life. " the shecat finished her answer to Petalkit's questions.

 "Thank you for the most part, but can you show me around the camp to know what is here. If I'm going to live here now." Petalkit said to Violetpaw.

 "I'll be happy to show you a rounded and meet new cats, but I have to go on the dawn patrol, but I can show you when I get back. Why do you go play with Snakekit. I'm sure she will show you around in energetic way like she always does." Violetpaw said with smile and a purr in her throat too. 

 "See you later, Violetpaw." Petalkit said looking at the apprentice as she listens to StoneHeart. The deputy of Dawnclan.

 " We are going on a dawn patrol and hunting patrol, the cats that are going on the dawn patrol are Cloudrose, Shadowdawn, Morningdew, Sunblossom, Blueleaf, and Violetpaw. Axel, Hollydust, Frozenmist, and Redfur, you will go on a hunting patrol. Featherpool and I will go with Lillian to go get catmint for the winter coming soon after autumn passes. " Stoneheart said with a voice so loud that Petalkit could hear clearly from bellow him.Petalkit

Petalkit saw that every cat got with their group and walked to the entrance of the camp. They all left quickly. Petalkit stand there alone in the clearing. She looks up at the sky, hoping to see something, but nothing happened as she frowns. The dawn sunlight was being changed to the blue in sky with Sun there too.

Petalkit heared a noise behind her. She looking behind her and saw Frostpool and Snakekit walking up to her. Petalkit turned around to see Snakekit jumping with excitement. She must have slept well and is very energetic. 

 "Petalkit are you hungry?" Frostpool asked Petalkit looking at her.

"Yeah, I'm hungry, I haven't eat since yesterday." Petalkit said with her stomach growling with hunger. 

" You sure are. " Frostpool said with chuck.

"Are you hungry Snakekit?" Frostpool asked her daughter.

"Yeah I am." Snakekit said looking up at her mother.

 "Okay then let's go back in the nursery you two." Frostpool said with a purr and walked to the entrance of the nursery. Petalkit and Snakekit followed right behind her. Frostpool slipped in the nursery and the two kits followed her inside.

Frostpool settled in her next with Snakekit and Petalkit sat next to Frostpool. And started to nurse on Frostpool. After the kits were done nursing on Frostpool. 

Petalkit looked up at Frostpool their eyes meet. 

"You feel better, Petalkit? " Frostpool asked the little kit.

"Yeah, I do feel better." Petalkit said with a smile on her face.

"Good." Frostpool said with a purr in her throat. "Do you feel better too, Snakekit?" the ginger and white queen asked her daughter looking at her.

" I do feel a lot better now, let's go outside Petalkit. " Snakekit said looking at her mother then at Petalkit.

"Sure." Petalkit squeaked at the calico kit. Petalkit turn looked at Snakekit's eyes. They were so beautiful with the different colors in her eyes. 

"Let's go Petalkit." Snakekit said walking to the entrance of the nursery. Petalkit followed quickly behind her. 

They both leave the nursery. "Be careful you two. And Snakekit will you show Petalkit around the camp and let the elder meet her too." Frostpool said to Snakekit.

"I will Frostpool." Snakekit said to her mother.
