Alexa packed up her Jeep and drove home, being sure to keep her sunglasses on, to fight off the offending sunlight. Her head still felt like it was filled to the brim with sand and heavy rocks, but the water she was continuing to chug during her drive was helping lift the load minute by minute.

An hour or so later, she finally arrived home, where she lugged her bag to her bedroom and immediately changed her clothes. She threw on a pair of jean shorts and a loose fitting tank top before she padded over to the bathroom with her toiletry bag and finished getting ready.

She had promised she would go over to Rylee's apartment around 3:00 and when she looked down at her phone on the counter, she saw it was about ten til, leaving her the perfect amount of time to drive over to her place.

As Alexa walked into Rylee's apartment, she could already tell Rylee was up to something. She had a shit eating grin across her face and a bounce in her step.

"What is it...what happened? What did I do? Or more realistically, what did you do?" Alexa asked with a chortle.

"Oh, nothing." Rylee coyly responded, practically skipping from the kitchen to the living room carrying a bottle of wine and two stemless glasses.

"Bullshit." Alexa growled tugging on Rylee's arm to pull her down onto the couch. "Tell me."

"Okay...so...I have a date tomorrow." Rylee admitted, setting down the bottle and glasses so she could cover her face for a moment.

"Oh my god. Is it with Sebastian? Tell me it's with Sebastian, pleaseeeeee. It's not Randy from down the hall is it? Oh god..he's such a cree-"

"Oh god, please stop. Yes, it's with Sebastian." Rylee blushed and put her hands on her cheeks, smiling from ear to ear.

"RYYYYYYLEEEEEEEEE. GIRRRRLLLLL." Alexa full out screamed. "When? Where? How? Spill ittt!"

Over the next half hour, Rylee poured them both a glass of wine and she told Alexa all about how, that morning, she was sitting inside Round Corner Cafe reading her book when it started raining and suddenly Sebastian had walked into the cafe.

He had ordered food and asked to sit with her and they talked together for a while. When she realized it was almost 2:30 she had told Sebastian she had to get home to meet up with Alexa. They had looked outside to see it still pouring down rain, so he offered her his hoodie and a ride home.

When he pulled up to her place, he told her to keep the hoodie so she didn't get wet running from the car to her apartment building lobby and then he smoothly asked about seeing her tomorrow night to grab his hoodie and get dinner.

"That sounds so goddamn magical Ryles." Alexa stated as she now laid on her stomach on the living room floor. She was starting her second glass as she looked over at Rylee sitting on the floor leaning her back against the couch.

"Right? Fate is crazy." Rylee stated.

"Like if I couldn't see his hoodie laying across the back of the couch right now I would say your entire story is horse shit." She laughed as she gestured towards the black hoodie draped across the couch cushion.

"Right? And I wouldn't even blame you!" Rylee joked in return.

The room fell into a comfortable silence for a moment as the girls reveled in all of this news and information.

"How has the Chris situation been going?" Rylee asked.

"Good, good. No dates scheduled yet...unlike some people in the room, but he's so easy to talk to, it's great."
