Overture for Summer Court
In magic days long gone,
The land of Tir Na Nog
Did prove a bastion of
Joy and Honour!
The Summer King and Queen
Proclaimed decrees so sweet
Winning esteem from fellows near and far!
But then,
Did winter sting their summer halls
When darling Queen did take her fall
And leave-
An ill and sorrowed king,
A kingdom lost to grief,
And Summer-Queen-to-be Elsine! As per the custom of
Kings come and gone,
The princess would have to choose
A man of stature!
Out went the call for a
New Summer Court,
Where the men would all contest
To win the lady's hand;
To win the crown and share her nightbed!
Which brings us to today:
The first of suitor's stay!
Has true love found its way by custom's glory?
The men who answered call
All total numbered four!
But will the princess find her One and Only? Can sweet Elsine manage winter's end?
To light the flame for Summer's mend?
Behold,
As springtime here unfolds,
And magic takes control!
Yes! Come and see the Summer Court!
