"Everyone please help me welcome the newlyweds, I present to you Mr and Mrs Carruthers" The DJ spoke with a happy smile while everyone stood up and clapped 

After clapping everyone sat down at different tables me and River walked up to the head table and sat down with all the girls and guys on either side of us. 

I never noticed who was at the wedding but everyone at the school was there even all the teachers. I leaned over to Elly. 

"How much did you have to pay everyone to be here ?" I whispered 

"I didn't school made it a holiday" She whispered back

I couldn't help but chuckle and then turn to my new husband. Husband, I can't believe I'm married it feels weird to say and even think about. I know it's so I don't need to marry a stranger but still, I'm married. River lightly grabbed my hand under the table, We intertwined our fingers and squeezed our hands lightly at the same time letting each other know. The food started to be brought out, we enjoyed our meals. Elly picked out some very good food and everything looks fantastic, the DJ played some low music and then there were speeches but then she showed up.

"I did not agree to this, how dare you do this !" I looked up and saw my gran standing shouting at us 

"No you didn't but I did, I'm her guardian not you, I gave them permission so she didn't need yours" Dan shouted back at her

"How could you do this to the family? to me? what are you trying to do to me kill me?" she shouted 

Dan got up and walked over to our gran Tyler and Leon along with River and me. 

"Don't make this all about you, Lisa is happy now and that's all I care about" Dan spoke 

"You're not doing to die over her marrying someone she actually likes" Leon spoke

 "He's not rich, he doesn't even know who his family is" She shot back 

"How dare you! he has a family, he was lucky he got to pick his unlike me who ended up with someone like you!" I shouted at her

"How dare you talk to me like that, your mother married who I picked and it turned out just fine" She glared 

"Look, lady,  I may not have money like you do but that won't stop me from caring for her and I will do everything I can to make her happy that is something money can't buy" River spoke 

"See this is why I love him" I smiled "He knows money isn't everything" 

"You need money to live" She spoke 

"I have enough money to live off for the rest of my life and of my children, if I have any just like Dan and Tyler we share the money, we do not fight over dumb stuff like money," I told her

"Gran this is how the world works know we don't marry for money anymore and mum didn't marry for money either she married for love, you think you pick dad for her but your wrong she picked him, she's was with him before you meet him, they planned the whole thing," I told her 

"And how would you know that ?" She glared at me

"Mum told me the same day she told me I can pick whoever I wanted to marry, ok it was a lot sooner than I planned but I still picked him and I will always pick who I want in my life and who I don't not you gran," I told her 

Gran glared then turned away from me. 

"Gran I would still like you in our lives but that is up to you," I told her 

Gran didn't turn around she just walked away not looking at me not once, Gran was gone so I let out a sigh and then shook my head.  Tyler put his hand on the back of my head and pulled my face to his chest. 

"You did the right thing Lisa"  Dan spoke from behind me 

"I know, I did what I had to do and I will be more happy being with River than whoever that guy was" I spoke 

Tyler let me go after kissing me lightly on the head. I lightly grabbed River by the hand.

" Come on let's celebrate us" I pulled him back to our seats.

"Everyone it's a time for celebrates not sadness so let's party!" Kat shouted happily 

Everyone cheered happily and the celebrations started up again. Kelly leaned over and whispered in a sing-song voice.

"You said you love him" 

I looked at her "Shh don't tell anyone"  I winked at her 

The music got louder and people started dancing, Me and river did our first dance to yet to come by bts. The second dance was me and Kelly, yes we had a slow dance as well, I played the male of course. 

"You did such a fantastic job with this wedding thank you so much" I hugged her while dancing, and she did the same

"It was an honour to do this for you l, I'm glad you married River and not the guy your gran picked" She smiled while we danced  "with you not marrying him can I ?" she joked 

"You can do way better than him but if you like him help yourself" I joked back 

"I messed up with Aiden didn't I ?" She looked down slightly 

"Kelly, you are young you have plenty of time to worry about boyfriends and marriage, I had to get married before my gran made me marry some random guy, you can take your time find the right guy and get to know him," I told her

"Your right" She smiled slightly 

"You're not allowed to be sad on my wedding day," I told her "And just so you know, you look so gorgeous " 

"You're more gorgeous l, I'm glad you liked everything I did pick for you" She smiled 

"of course, you were the best person to do it" I smiled back at her

The song finished but before I could sit down, I was taken by Leon and made to dance with him.

"Thanks for dancing with me " He smiled at me

"Not like a had a chose" I joked 

"You do know I would have married you,"  he told me 

"I know but if you married me you couldn't date Ty" I smirked at him

"How did you ...." He trailed off 

"It's me, Leon I've known for a while," I told him

"and long as you don't tell him, young lady" He smirked 

"I won't but you should," I told him

He just winked at me not saying he will tell him but not saying he won't tell him either I guess we'll just have to wait and see what he does. The rest of the party was amazing We did a lot of dancing, talking and had fun.
