The mute girl

I have a new idea sorry if it's stupid also yes, in this story, Amy is mute

Tails POV

After second period, as I went to my locker, someone crashed into me. I looked up to see a pink hedgehog. She helped me up and did something that looked like sign language. "Sorry, I don't know sign language," I told her. She got out a notebook and wrote a note. As I read it, it said, "Sorry, I'm mute, but are you ok?" 

"Yeah, I'm alright," I said. "I'm Miles Prower by the way, but you can call me Tails." She started writing her name and showed me it. "My name is Amy Rose," I read. "Nice to meet you, Amy," I said. I noticed a bandage on her arm. "If you don't mind me asking, why is there a bandage on your arm?"

 After she finished writing, I read it. "I accidentally hit my arm with my locker door yesterday." "Oh, ok," I said. I could tell she was lying though. "It was nice meeting you, Tails," she wrote. "You too," I told her. I decided to follow her. I know what she said about "hitting her arm on her locker door" was a lie. As I followed her, I looked to the left to see Knuckles and Tikal!

"Well, look who we have here!" Knuckles sneered. "If it isn't the mute girl!" Tikal snickered. "Let's get her!" Before I could intervene, Knuckles and Tikal already started hurting Amy! Luckily, Cosmo found out about the whole thing and she threw a paper ball to get their attention. "Pick on someone your own size!" she growled. "I'll have you know, I participated in martial arts and I'm not afraid to fight you!"

I was shocked. I didn't know Cosmo knew martial arts! I thought for sure Knuckles and Tikal would try to attack her but instead, they didn't want to fight a martial artist and ran away. "And don't mess with me or my friends again!" Cosmo yelled for good measure.

Amy passed out because of her injuries and me and Cosmo took her to the nurse. After she woke up, she wrote on her notebook asking what happened. "You were attacked by Knuckles and Tikal," I told her. "Be honest with me. Is that why you had bandages on your arm?" Amy nodded. "If I told anyone, the bullying would just get worse," she wrote. "No it wouldn't," Cosmo said. "I'm sure the principal will do something about it. I already told Shadow to report them."

Any smiled. "No one could ask for better friends than you," she wrote. "Don't sweat it," I said. We compared our schedules. "Amy, we have the same third period!" Cosmo said. "I have a different third period," I said. "I'm with Shadow and Sonic." After we left the nurse's office, me, Amy, and Cosmo went to class.

Cosmo POV

I heard a few coughs and then I heard someone call Amy a loser. I turned my head to see Knuckles and Tikal. I growled at them and once they noticed me, they backed off. When class was almost over, I felt something hit my head. I turned behind me and saw Knuckles holding a paper ball. Tikal had her notebook in front of her, so I assumed she was the one that threw it. 

"Really, you two?!" I snapped. Knuckles faked a cough. "Loser," he said in between coughs. I stood up and put my fist in my hand. "You want to throw hands, don't you?!" Knuckles and Tikal laughed. "Look at this, kid," Tikal said. "There's two of us and only one of you. You dare challenge us?" "Do I need to remind you I'm a martial artist?" I growled.

Amy threw a note at them. After Knuckles opened it, he read, "I think you're a little outnumbered!" Without thinking, Tikal jumped out at me and pinned me down. "Tikal! Stop!" the teacher yelled. She didn't listen. 

Amy stared for a while in fear. She thought I would get killed. Eventually, she punched Tikal in the nose as hard as she could and she immediately turned her mind towards that instead. When I stared at her, I noticed her nose was bleeding and she was crying. "She never cries," Knuckles said under his breath. He turned to Amy and growled. "Did you break her nose?!"

Before Knuckles could attack Amy, I grabbed his wrist and threw him to the ground. "What kind of girl are you?!" he growled. "The kind who doesn't like bullies!" I snapped. I then smirked. "And the kind that has a black belt in karate!" The teacher was really angry. "Knuckles, Tikal, Cosmo, detention, now! And Amy, you join them," he snapped. Knuckles helped Tikal up and we all left the room. 

"I'm going to get grounded," Amy wrote on her notebook. "Same here," I agreed. I turned to Knuckles and Tikal. "You don't even seem nervous that your parents are going to get called," Amy wrote. "They could care less!" Knuckles sneered. "I practically live in detention!" "My parents are getting involved?!" I thought. My heart dropped into my stomach. I was more nervous than I've ever been in my life. 

Tikal's nose was still bleeding. "You should probably take her to the nurse," I told Knuckles. "I was going to!" Knuckles snapped. "I'm letting the detention teacher know where we're going first!" "Did it look like I knew that?!" I growled. Once we reached the detention room, Knuckles let the teacher know about Tikal and she gave him permission to leave the room. Me and Amy took our seats and I noticed a black cat out of the corner of my eye. I realized it was Storm!

She turned her head to me. "What are you looking at?!" she snapped. Before I could say a word, she jumped out of her seat and threw me out of my chair. "Storm, that's suspension for 3 weeks!" the detention teacher snapped. Storm didn't seem to care. "Wow, Sonic and Shadow wasn't kidding when they said she was unfriendly!" I thought

She didn't know I participated in martial arts though. Only Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Tikal knew that. To her surprise, I immediately stood up and knocked her down. "The hell?!" she said in shock. "I'm a martial artist," I told her. "Dare challenge me now?" I could tell she was scared, no matter how hard she tried not to show it. "I'm not afraid of you!" she growled.

"Prove it!" I snapped. "Meet me in the hallway tomorrow. I challenge you!" "Hey!" the detention teacher snapped. "Violence is never the answer! I'm afraid I'm going to have to give you detention for the rest of the week!" "It's my second day!" I snapped back. "Plus, Storm started it! Suspend me if you must! I don't really care!"

"For fighting each other and talking back to me, you're both suspended," the detention teacher snapped. "Storm, you're suspended for 3 weeks and you, what's your name?" "Cosmo," I told her. "Cosmo, you're suspended until next Thursday," the detention teacher said.

"Knock knock, it's Knuckles," I heard. I turned my head to see Knuckles, but Tikal wasn't with him. "Where's Tikal?" I asked. "Amy broke her nose and she was sent home early," he growled. I smirked. "I know you like Rouge," I whispered so Storm wouldn't hear. "And?" he growled. "I can set her up with you if you want," I told him. He hesitated a bit, but eventually agreed. "I can help too," Amy wrote. I nodded my head in agreement.

After the day was over, I told my friends what happened. "That is so unfair!" Shadow snapped. "Tails and Blaze attacked Charmy, but since Charmy started it, only he got suspended!" "I know," Knuckles snapped. "I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with you. That feels weird in my mouth to say." "Who said you can come with us?" I asked. "I only came since you're going to set me up with Rouge once you get back," he said. "That'll be tomorrow," Sonic said. "I'm reporting the detention teacher to the principal." "If you say so," Tails said.

Sorry that it took so long for me to get around to making this! My motivation was going up and down lol
