I walk through the school's corridors, anticipating the start of my next class. This is the last class before lunch, then I have my free period.

But at this thought, I roll my head in annoyance to the fact that I can't leave school today for my free period due to the poor weather.

I hate to admit, but all day, I've been hoping to run into Jungwon. We haven't spoken a word since I saw him at Yeji's house. Wouldn't we be considered friends at this point?

I continue lost in thought as I approach very loud voices, I lower my head to avoid accidental eye contact with anyone.

The already booming voices grow louder, just before my life flashes before my eyes.

Well...not exactly. But it's be a very embarrassing moment that will definitely replay in my mind for the next five years.

I trip over someone's foot sending me into a series of awkward falls, but I never quite hit the ground.

I do one last 'running fall' before spinning once, steadying myself.

I press my lips in regret and close my eyes tight.

Maybe if I close my eyes...it'll all be a dream!

I take a deep breath and slowly open my eyes to see those previously minding their own business now staring at me, fighting their laughs.

I let out a groan and go back on my way with my head down, but not before feeling a hand grab my wrist.

"Hey!" I pull back, clearly alarmed.

My furrowed eyebrows soften at the familiar cat eyes that cast a concerned look over me.

I wanted to see him but not in this way..

"Are you okay?" Jungwon asks worriedly, his entire friend group staring at me with wide eyes.

"YES!" I say louder than intended out of embarrassment, "..yes."

"Thanks for the concern but uh..I'll be on my way now," flashing a quick smile at him, before walking away once again.

UGH! Just as I thought I'd embarrassed myself enough...why did it have to be his foot I tripped over?!

I see my best friends at the other end of the hallway and speed walk toward them, still mentally scolding myself.

"What's with the face?" Yeji jokingly points out.

"Yea..." Haerin cackles repeatedly, attempting to speak but not being able to get a word out without laughing.

She takes one last deep breath before continuing, "you look like you're going through the five stages of grief!" She cackles again at her not-so-funny joke.

I squint at at both of them with a scowl on my face, then proceed to roll my eyes, "you're so unfunny Haerin."

"Am not!" she nudges the girl beside her, "right Yeji?"

"Don't bring me into this!" Yeji puts her hands up in defense.

We all pause and stare at each other for a minute before bursting out into laughter.

I put my arms around both their necks with a sigh, leading them down the hallway.

I let out a sigh before starting, "I just embarrassed the hell out of myself."

"Elaborate," the two said in unison.

The three of us talk amongst ourselves during the walk to the cafeteria. After getting our lunches, we sit at a booth and continue talking, Yeji and Haerim sitting across from me.
