....That's all?? A simple hi? Call me greedy but I expected more from you, crazyguy or whatsoever!

Still deciding to let it go, I replied to the message.

'Hey...'

I hope he understands what I mean by those three dots at the end. It means what it means. That I haven't forgotten the 'blocking' thing.

Almost immediately (or maybe a minute later, but nevermind) he began typing and a light smile placed itself on my face. Is he going to talk about it, apologize, or at least just justify himself? Or will he ignore the meaning in my 'hey'? Will he actually use his brains for once?

'Do you know me?'

I slapped my forehead and groaned. Of course he ignored it!
What did I even expect? But damn, he ignored it! How can someone be so dumb or forget such very-important stuff that happened just one year ago?

And oh my, his question 'Do you know me?'. Now, I have a theory - he's playing dumb to see if I'm dumb too. Can't he just scroll above and see the messages from BB (Before Blocking, if you're wondering what it means), the messages where I was practically pleading him to tell me if he confessed to his so-called crush and my final message of a questioning 'Hello?' before he did his thing of blocking.

But before I could reply, I was interrupted - yet again. This time however, it wasn't the bell. Since I was practically standing in the middle of the corridors and I could still hear Sam's furious cries and Alan's sighs inside the class, someone walked past me and accidentally hit my shoulder in the process. The phone fell from my hands and it switched off from the impact, but didn't break, being the stronger-than-hulk phone it was, especially with that blue and black phone cover.

I yelped and turned around, but didn't bother to see who had hit my shoulder and instead, ran to my phone. The other person did the same and kept murmuring an apology as we both knelt on the floor to get my phone.

After taking it and making sure it was still okay, I glanced up at the other person to apologize and -

Wait a minute. Joel?

I questioningly stared - no, glared - at him for a few minutes, and that's when he glanced up and saw me too. "I'm sor-" he started, then went silent as he realized it was me, Rose.

We both stared at each other for a good few minutes, being face-to-face, and neither of us could find the voice to mutter a word anymore or even move from our places. Get up, Rose! Pretend to not even know him! My mind scolded me, but I couldn't. I was dumbstruck.

Joel, the guy I was currently confronted to very awkwardly, is my old best friend. Ex-best friend.

We didn't break our friendship with each other. We didn't do anything hurtful to each other. But it just happened out of nowhere, especially after Joel moved to the next class.

Until 6th grade, he was in my class and it's only in that class that we started forming a bond, though I had actually been in this school since 4th grade. He was kind of in the popular group and so was I, but we both were like the least active members there, since we knew very well that they were all toxic and fake friends and we tried to hang out more with our real friends instead of losing our peace of mind to the popular but fake people. Besides, Joel was always ridiculed for having had a little crush, or better, an infatuation for Britney before he met me, so just like Robby, he used to talk about how much I changed him for the better. So, during that time, we began talking, chatting on social media, and formed a good friendship. But it didn't last even a year, honestly.
