"Very carefully, young lady," the lunch lady told me with a smile as she handed my lunch to Riley instead of me. She received it with a confused frown, then with the same frown, walked off to our table and kept it there. I rolled my eyes internally, realizing that the lunch lady gave my lunch to be kept by Riley so that I don't pour it over someone like I did to Stella back before one week. And that's also why she told me to be careful.
I groaned as I received some chuckles from my table - from Kadie and Sam, if you're wondering - and then a few stares when I harshly pulled the black chair and sat on it, trying to break it, but it didn't.
"What's up with you, Rose?" Mia asked me. I grinned widely, then rolled my eyes and muttered, "Nothing"
Kadie and Mia gave each other a look.
"She's probably at her monthly -" Sam started, but I stopped her with a very scary glare, "Don't even finish that, because you do know that mine finished a week ago. I'm not some abnormal creature to have periods every single week.""But I doubt that," Sam muttered, scooping up her ramen noodles and stuffing her mouth so that she pretend to chew and ignore my eyeroll. We ate rather silently, with most guys like Spencer, Maddin and so on having went for a football match while the girls, Stella, Elliot and others were busy gossiping outside the lunch hall. We were practically the only group here besides a weird junior kid at the far corner wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses, looking like he was about to start a school shooting.
I won't blame him.
I sighed silently and looked around for them - yes, you already know who, Robby and Alan - but found nothing, not even a shadow. And one thing I was sure of about them is that they will never ditch food, even if they were to die, especially Robby. Where could they have possibly gone?
Shrugging it off as their usual dumb plays, I took my phone after I was done eating and realized something very earth-shaking...
I'd completely forgotten the male lead of this book!
And the fourth wall breaks...
Like usual, I took out Instagram to see Adam's unread-message (plus a heart for the like option) to my last response, which was this,
'Yep wassup? I had been at school, that's why the late reply.'
I mean, even otherwise, I wouldn't be as fast as him to reply, but still, just for an effect.
'Ya
I am watching series'What's it with him and watching series nowadays? I do know that people got addicted to Netflix during the quarantine and stuff just like I got addicted to Instagram and Wattpad, but the only thing crazykid was 100% interested in was this. He loved to talk about it more than even his stupid swimming rules at school, which used to be his favourite topic once. Ah, the good old times.
'Ah lucky *laughing emoji* which one?'
He again hearted my message, probably flattered at the fact that I too was interested in which series he was watching.
'You'
Me? But I'm human. I never knew that I turned into a series.
Just kidding, I know that he was telling me the name of a series named You. Well, not exactly know, I just searched it up on Google right when he told me so that I can at least have knowledge of that one.
I had a random sudden thought then - I asked him which series he was watching and he said You. Since it's by chat, it's all normal and I understood what he meant, but had it been real life, I would've got at least a little confused at what he meant by that. It can be kinda used like a pickup line, right?
