"Are you sure you want us to do this, Master?"
Wendy's voice was small, shy as she quietly asked the old man. Her blue hair hung to her waist, and her brown eyes were soft, a short dress hung down to her thighs, small silver frills, yellow and blue zig-zag stripes decorating the cloth. Underneath was a pair of white leggings, going down to her ankles, and deep blue shoes. Around her right wrist was a bracelet, made of white cord and blue beads, with a single silver charm, that of a tiny dragon. Her hair was tied back in a long braid, to keep it out of her face, with gold bands with intricate detail rest around her biceps. A white exceed stood by the girls' feet, paws crossed over her body.
"Wendy, you should have more confidence in yourself!" the white cat scolded gently, "If the Master believes that you can do it, you can!"
"Sorry, Carla!"
Wendy Marvell and Carla were two younger members of the Cait Shelter guild, though Wendy was slightly older than her smaller friend, who stood on the opposite side of her as Carla.
"It's quite alright, Carla dear." the old Master chuckled, "It's normal for young children to have such worries, but Wendy, you need worry not. I believe that you and Hiro will do just fine."
Hiro Hidashi, 9 years to Wendy's 12, nodded, clutching her friend's hand in reassurance. Her loud orange and black hair, and bright purple eyes contrasted to Wendy's blue and brown. Her outfit was a loose white tank-top-tunic and black, sleeveless undershirt. A pair of dark blue cotton pants with ties at the ends, a black strip of cloth acting as a belt, and a pair of brown leather sandals with a design similar to Wendy's dress. On her biceps are intricate gold metal bands, similar to Wendy's.
On her back was her leather bag, a silver clasp in the shape of a tiny storm cloud, a necklace around her throat bore a golden lightning-bolt charm, her small earrings were that of bolts as well, her wrist donned in one similar to Wendy's, blue cord, yellow beads, and a dragon charm; another with grey cord, orange beads, and dragon charm sat on the same wrist. On her ears were black machines in the shape of hearing aids, with a dial from 0-10, turned all the way down to one.
At her side was a dog, a large, fluffy Saint Bernard lovingly dubbed 'Bud' by a three-year-old Hiro, when that was one of the only words she knew, with a brown saddle-like leather piece and hanging bags on his sides. At her feet stood a powder blue-colored exceed with bright hazel eyes. He wore a simple grey shirt, with black pants and shoes, and a simple purple vest. He wore a necklace similar to Hiro's, and Bud's collar had the same shape of tag.
"Worry not girls," the Master murmured cheerfully, pulling both youngsters into a hug with his long arms, "I have a feeling that you will do great things on this new journey of yours, and make some new friends!"
Hiro's tongue stuck out at new friends, "Bleh." her small face was scrunched in disgust.
"Hiro, no need for that! Stupid girl." The exceed muttered, floating up to bop her on the head slightly.
But the Master merely laughed some more, along with some other guild members that were scattered around.
"No need for that, Mozart." someone grinned, "We all know how Hiro is with new people."

"Safe travels!"
"Come back soon!"
"Love ya, Wendy, Hiro!"
Several others called out as the two girls started off towards the rendezvous spot. They did not notice a rather large dog, and two flying cats following not far behind.
