After Hiro had ascended to Fifth Rank, she had bought a new house. It was still just as rural as the first one, simply larger with more space. The outside paneling was painted a soft gray, the rooms and lining for doors and windows being a darker grey. A cobble pathway led to the road at the edge of the property.
It was still two floors, Hiro and Erik's being on the top, and a basement; there were just...more rooms. Five bedrooms, one of which being claimed at Hiro's Work Room for Important Wizard Saint Stuff.
Entering the front door, you'd be faced with an open hallway and a staircase leading to the balcony on the second floor. The banister made of the same walnut wood as the rest of the house's wooden accents. The floors throughout every room, besides basement and bathrooms, was a dark colored wood paneling, almost black in tone.
At the end of the hall, under the stairs, was a doorway leading onto the back patio.
Continuing down the hall, an open living room floor plan took up a majority of the space. Plush couches, loveseats, and chairs. One couch was closest to the entrance, two loveseats to either sides and two chairs closest to the lacrima stand, where they watch TV and eat their food. In between all the furniture was a plush white rug, a coffee table sitting in the center; multiple drink coasters scattered about. All the furniture is plush and grey with walnut wood legs. In the corners between couch and loveseats stood two, tall lamps. Keeping the living room lights off and having the lamps onis the norm.
At the back of the room is a door leading to the bottom floor bathroom. This bathroom, like the second guest one upstairs, is themed in pastel blues and yellows and white. Standard shower/bath, standard toilet, standard sink.
To the left of the bathroom is a second door leading to the laundry room, standard washer & dryer set, and storage of extra blankets and pillows and decoration.
Right behind one of the loveseats was the kitchen. A massive, modern type of space with lots of counter space, a large stove and two fridges (Listen, slayers eat a lot of food, okay?). Granite countertops blended with the walnut wood. A large window above the sink allowed natural light in during the day.
At the far right of the kitchen was another door leading to the back patio, where benches, a table, and grill resided. The only other thing in the backyard was a small river and a shed, formally dubbed as the 'DogHouse'.
Down in the basement, the floor is coated in plush material, made to be comfortable and soft. Piles of treasures and money, and basically anything shiny they have collected over the years, is stored here in piles.
Dragon, in general, are hoarders after all. Hiro just happens to hoard shiny things.
Reaching the top of the stairs, a hallway led left and right. Three doors down each side.
To the left were the guest bedrooms and spare bathroom. To the right was Hiro's Workroom and the two occupied bedrooms.
The two guest rooms had massive beds, and ultimate comfort. The blankets and pillows were the softest she could find. The walls in the guest rooms were a faint blue, with grey bed sheets and a fluffy white comforter. The curtains were thick, with a thinner under layer, and white. A simple blue rug settled in the center of each room.
Hiro's room was the largest, of course, because it was her house. Her walls were a dark grey, with one black accent wall. Small cloud decals, glow-in-the-dark kind!, decorated the walls. Her four poster bed was pushed up against a corner, a window right above her bedside table, large enough for her to starfish and still easily fit five other people. A multitude of pillows piled onto the bed. Her bedsheets were white, with a thick purple comforter overtop, matching two of the pillowcases.
A multitude of dolls were placed meticulously around the room, an entire area of the wall taken up by shelves that they rested on. A round, fluffy white rug covered the center of the room, obviously walked on but kept extremely clean. A large dog bed rested in the floor at the foot of the bed, though it was clear that Bud took residence on Hiro's bed.
Over the sheer curtains in the windows were thick sets of shocking yellow curtains.
To one side of the room was a walk-in closet, only partially used by clothes she wore regularly. The rest of the clothes were formal wear, costumes she was made to wear for Sorcerer's Weekly and poster drops, and storage.
Next to the closet was a door leading to the en-suite bathroom, something both she and Erik had. Her's had a standing shower and separate bathtub, ceramic countertops and walnut wood cabinets. The toilet was separated, unable to be seen from the doorway.
Above the massive mirror near the sink, were a trail of lights that lit up the entire room. Upon closer inspection, you would find that the bathtub had a jacuzzi setting, and that the showers had 360 surround spray.
In Erik's room, the size and layout of the closet and bathroom is pretty much the same. His bed is in the center of the wall, facing the two doors on the right wall. A thick, black rug took up a majority of the floor. Black sheets and a dark red quilt warmed the bed, four simple pillows to Hiro's many.
A stand sits on the opposite wall, between the closet and bathroom, holding a Telecrima (Televised Lacrima). His curtains were the same shade of red as his comforter. Two lamps sat on either bedside table, offering a dimmer light. The bathroom theme was the black and white, and the layout is the same as Hiro's
Hiro's workroom is similar to most other studies. A large wood desk pushed against one wall, bookshelves on every wall, full of law books, books on magic, many in languages other than Fioran. There's a small closet, in the corner of the room, used to store extra ink and paper and anything she might need for Official Work. Diagrams of different animals decorated the empty space on the walls, and the curtains were a dark gray.
And that's Hiro's new house!
