Work had been going surprisingly fast Marie and I had been non stop working, almost every single lawyer in this building needed some sort of help with, files, research, or court documents. The only time Marie and I have talked to each other is to either ask for help or complain about someone else requesting something. So needless to say we've been busy.
"It's 12:00 Im gonna head out to lunch Ill be right back, you want me to bring you back anything" Marie said standing up and grabbing her belongings.
"No thank you, have a good lunch" I said looking up from screen briefly.
"Okay see you later!" she said then she rushed out the office before anyone can stop her to ask for anything.
I continued my work, at the moment I was in an email war with people from the court house. Me and this man have been going back and forth sending passive aggressive emails. I just received a new email from him and this man better pray that we never meet in person.

Per our last email, as stated in our policy, we can not allow new evidence so sudden without having presented the evidence ahead of time. You have been twice informed, if another email needs to be sent out we halt all communication. Have a good day.

"Are you fucking kidding me!" I exclaimed in anger and frustration "What do you think I'm trying to do dumbass!"
"Wow what did your laptop do to you?" I looked up in surprise to see Nicholas standing in the doorway.
"It's not the laptop its the stupid glorified clerk at the court house, we have been going back and forth sending each other emails its like he gets paid to give paralegals a hard time" I said starting my own bitchy email.
"I'm sure he's shaking in fear every time he sees a new email from you" he said sarcastically while folding his arms across his chest.
"You bet he is" I said "How much trouble do you think I'd get in for calling him a dumbass?" I asked him and he laughed "I mean I don't think you'd get fired if that's what you're asking" He replied "Thats fine with me"
"Well I stopped by to remind you about coffee today, If you're still available for that" He said coming closer to my desk.
"Yeah! of course, Marie should be back any minute now since its 12:56 and I'll meet you at the coffee shop?" I replied
"Sounds good to me, see you there" He said and gave me one last smile before he walked out the office. Marie came in exactly at 1:00.
"Did I just see Alvaro walk out the office?" Marie looked at me questionably
"Yeah he just stopped by to confirm the time we are meeting at for coffee today" I said nonchalantly
"Are y'all going to hook up?!" she asked excitedly.
"Marie no, I've already explained our friendship to you. You and Nicholas are friends as well" I said while standing up from my desk and grabbing my bag getting ready to go.
