"Oh hello Mrs. Alvaro, I think I saw him on the left wing of the building while coming in from lunch" I don't know why I lied but this woman is glaring at me like I just cut her off in traffic and she looks quite frightening. 

"Hm okay I'll just wait right here, he'll eventually have to pass by here to get to his office" She said with a look on her face that said she'd rather be anywhere else but here. 

"Of course ma'am can I get you anything to drink while you wait?" Marie asked her in her sickly sweet voice that rarely makes an appearance. 

Mrs. Alvaro ignored her and turned to look at me, her blue eyes giving me an icy cold look. "You. Whats your name?" she asked like she was talking to a child that just misbehaved.

"Elena De Santiago" I said cautiously and she looked at me up and down "How old are you? You look awfully young to be working here" she said emphasizing the word awfully. 

"I'm twenty-three ma'am" I answered her question and she snorted before opening her mouth "I'm sure you're quite popular around here aren't you Ms. De Santiago" before I could reply to her comment Nicholas come into the office. 

"Jacqueline you know where my office is, why are you here?" Nicholas said and her tone of voice quickly changed. 

"Oh honey, you weren't in your office so I came to ask these lovely receptionists if they knew where you where" She said batting her eyelashes at him. 

"Well they are not receptionist they are paralegals and you could have waited in my office" He explained giving Marie and I a glance. 

"Well there's no difference is there, receptionist paralegal, same thing" She said shrugging her shoulders and grabbing her bag and walking out without saying anything else. 

Nicholas stood there with a facial expression I've never seen before, he clenched his jaw before addressing us. "I'm really sorry about her" before either one of us could reply he turned on his heels and quickly left following his wife. 

"If I were you I would stop messing around with that woman's husband because she will kill you" Marie said turning back to her desk. 

"I'm not messing around with Nicholas stop saying that" I said quickly glancing at the office entrance to make sure no one heard that. 

"Then why did you lie to her, if there was really nothing going on you wouldn't have to hide the fact that you guys went to lunch together" she said giving me a knowing look. 

"I lied because that woman looks like she would kill anyone who even breaths the same air as her husband" I explained rolling my eyes. 

"I don't know but that woman is a bitch" Marie said and continued her work as did I. 

Marie and I continued with our research and I finally managed to get the new evidence presented to the judge before the actual court date, James Morales can suck it. Marie and I occasionally taking a break to talk and get snacks, we always have snacks in the office, and we always have music playing because neither of us can work in silence. 

We were so caught up with our work that we didn't notice Gabby come into the office. 

"Hello! I've been standing here for a whole minute and no one has acknowledged me" Gabby exclaimed drawing mine and Marie's attention to her. 

"Oh hello Gabby" I greeted her with a smile "You're so dramatic Gabby" Marie said rolling her eyes at her. 

"So guess who I just met?!" She said pulling up a chair next to my desk and taking a seat next to me. 

"Who?" Marie asked while typing away on her laptop. 

"Mrs. Alvaro" Gabby said in a taunting voice while rolling her eyes. Both Marie and I stopped what we where doing and turned to look at her. 

"What did she say?" Marie asked. 

"Well let me start of by saying she is a class A bitch, I was heading to Alvaro's office and his door was open and I walked in, because that's what I usually do with everyone I just walk into their offices if the door is open. So I went in and said "Hey Alvaro I don't understand your email dude" that's when I noticed the she devil next to him" Gabby took a break to take a sip from my coffee. 

"She turned to look at me like I just insulted her and said "That is no way to address someone in a higher position than you, you should address my husband as Mr. Alvaro. Not Alvaro and most certainly not as dude" Bitch I just stood there in disbelief!" she said waving her arms around and shaking her head as she continued. 

"Before I could have told that bitch anything Alvaro explained to her that I was also a lawyer and have been one far longer than he has. He apologized and I practically ran out of his office like my ass was on fire" She finished and Marie and I started  immediately laughing. 

"We've also had the pleasure of meeting that woman, she called us the "receptionists" we didn't go to college to be called receptionists. I mean we have the word "paralegal" on top of our office" I said rolling my eyes. 

"I just know for a fact she wears the pants in the relationship" Gabby said taking another sip of my coffee "I'm taking this by the way". 

"She came in straight to my desk and said "I'm here to see my husband call him out for me" and I just sat there like sure bitch but who's your husband. I didn't call her a bitch but how was I supposed to know who her husband is I don't even know who she is" Marie said and I laughed at the thought of Marie dealing with Nicholas' wife. 

"Well you know how Damian and Alvaro are cousins, well he had told me that he has a family reunion coming up and that everyone in his family is dreading it because Alvaro and his wife are going. Which they rarely go to because they never get invited, everyone in his family hates Alvaro's wife and I understand why now. Damian said that the only reason they were invited was because Alvaro's wife threatened Alvaro's parents to cut all contact between them and their kid" Gabby continued and both mine and Marie's mouth dropped open. 

"So the bitch used her child as leverage over Alvaro's parents?" I asked in disbelief 

"Who even uses their kid like that? You really do know everything don't you Gabriela" Marie said fully giving her full attention. 

"Yes, its a blessing and a curse" Gabby said feigning distress. 

All three of us burst out laughing as Nichola's and his wife passed by the office. Nichola's had his jacket and briefcase in hand he stopped outside the office door and gave us a quick glance. "Leaving work early today Alvaro, I mean Mr. Alvaro" Gabby said in a taunting tone. Nichola's sighed and his wife gave Gabby a tight lip smile that didn't meet her cold eyes. 

"Have a good evening" He addressed us all and both him and his wife left. The bitch walking slightly ahead of him with her head held high and Nichola's trailing behind her with his tail between his legs. 

"I'll be praying for him tonight" Was Gabby's last remark before she left with my coffee in her hand. 

"Can I at least get my coffee cup back later!" I called after her and I just heard her laughing down the hallway. 

"I'm not getting that cup back" I said turning back to my screen. Marie stood up and rushed over to my desk leaning in towards me so that only I can hear her. 

"You need to fuck Alvaro"
