The next day consisted of the same sort of dog fight training. Maverick pushed each and every one of the pilots as far as he could push them. Steely found herself high up in the air with Hangman on her left. The three of them were silently canvassing the sky around them for any sight of Maverick. Steely relied on her second pair of eyes for this job and spoke out to Omaha.
"Any signs?" she questioned pulling up and flying just a tab bit higher.
"Uhm yes, bogey on your left 400 knots. Time to break left and give him hell Steel," Omaha responded giving her as much information as he could about Mavericks location.
"Hear that Bagman, it's show time."
Steely did as told and she turned the plane towards the left soaring over Hangman and in the direction of Maverick. She was able to see him clearly now and he was heading straight for her.
"I found you old man time to show you what we've got," Steely taunted assuming hangman was right behind her.
Mavericks plane continued right towards the nose of Steely's plane, he wasn't turning left or right. If she kept going in the same direction they were going to smash right into each other.
"I sure hope you have a plan on getting us out of this, I have food at home that I planned on eating tonight," Omaha said looking down at his scanner watching the two planes get closer and closer.
"Don't worry sweetie pie you'll get back to your chicken wings soon enough."
At this time the planes were dangerously close to each other. Steely let herself get a bit closer before she jerked the control stick down and slid right under Mavericks plane before she flipped them forward again and locked Maverick in. Hangman was right behind her and was able to lock Maverick in right after.
"Hey Hangman, I believe that's two kills," Steely joked coming to fly right next to him.
"I think your right Sunshine," Hangman laughed through the comms. She also heard Omaha laugh right behind her.
"Well done guys. Back to base now please."
"Yes sir!" Steely chanted as she pushed the control stick forward and sped on towards base.
Todays training session went without an issue and it was much better than yesterday. Everyone was dismissed and they were all changing in the locker rooms. Steely and Phoenix had their own while the rest of the guys shared one.
Steely burst into the boys locker room not thinking much of it. Half the boys were in towels and the other half were hardly dressed. She slapped her hand over her eyes and mumbled a apology.
"Shit sorry boys, Phoenix and I are going to the Hard Deck tonight, anyone in?"
A few husky chuckles could be heard around the room as they all turned their attention to her. The girls hand was still firmly over her eyes as she waited for a response. Suddenly, but gently, her hand was pulled away from her eyes and she came face to face with Bradley.
"We're all decent your eyes will be fine. We will be there," He said still holding her hand in his. He had a small smile on his face as he looked down at her. Bradley was quite a bit taller than her which forced him to angle his neck down to see her.
"Alright, see you ladies there," She pulled her hand away from Bradley and clapped them together. Spinning on her heel she left the room and headed towards her car.

By the time she was finished getting ready the sun has began setting. It was a warm evening that day so she dressed lightly. Her light jeans were cuffed at the ankles and her green top was flowy. Omaha and Steely drove to the bar together and ended up being the first people to arrive.
