Lacey's POV

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Matthew looks at me in the most intent gaze. I open my mouth, but nothing comes out. I stumble for words; is this really happening?

"What kind of question is that?" I finally blurt out, smiling from ear to ear.

"Um, I don't know, a question?" Matthew laughs, still looking at me and awaiting my answer.

"Yes, Matthew. I will be your girlfriend." I nod my head frantically, probably making myself look like a complete idiot. The grin plastered on his face only grows wider. He opens his mouth, seeming to be at a loss for words, like I was only moments ago.

"Oh my god, you're my girlfriend." he cheekily smiles and wraps me up into his arms. He continues to hold me before releasing and strolling to his phone. He sits on the edge of the bed, as I do next to him. I peer over his shoulder to see what he is doing as he unlocks the phone and opens Twitter.

I cannot even hardly look at the screen before me with all of the hate filled tweets, about me. What's even worse is the fact that whoever started the tweets must have been almost stalking me, trying to find out the information from my past to destroy me. It couldn't be Taylor, or could it? The point being is that now everybody knows, which is heart breaking.

I continue to watch as Matthew opens a new tweet. He tweets multiple things along the lines of making up lies about my past, and how if he finds out who made up the lies, that will be the end of them. I think it's absolutely adorable how over protective he is over me. I smile as he continues to favorite and retweet all of the supportive tweets and stand up for me as he sees rude ones.

"What?" he looks over at me, closing his phone and putting it back down on the bed.

"Nothing." I giggle, playfully crossing my arms over my chest. He raises an eyebrow, a smile forming across his plump lips.

"Obviously not just nothing." he uses air quotes as the word nothing escapes his mouth.

"No, it's seriously nothing I promise." I try to convince him that my thoughts were really nothing of his concern.

"You better tell me missy, otherwise, somebody is getting tickled." my eyes widen at his words, trying to scramble away from him because I know he isn't lying. Before I could escape his wrist sharply grabs my left ankle, pulling me towards him. He flips me onto my back and pins my wrists above my head, his legs resting on either side of my waist. I'm shocked at how fast he had me pinned to the bed, his actions quick and sharp.

I'm now clearly unable to wiggle my way out of this so I just remain still, waiting for something to happen. My grin drops to a frown as he released one of his hands from holding my wrists, now only holding them with one hand so he had an available one to torture me. He lowers it from above his ear slowly.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell me now?" he smile grows wider, his hand now close to the side of my waist. I clench my eyes shut and hesitantly shake my head. His hand doesn't even delay as he begins to tickle me. It isn't long before a few tears start the slip downs my eyes from a mixture of laughter and pain.

"Okay," I breathe as his hands come to a halt, "okay I'll tell you." I open my eyes, looking at his figure towering over me in such an intimidating way. He looks at me, waiting for me to continue.

"I just thought it was kind of cute how you were standing up for me." I look away, biting my lip.

"I'm not simply cute." Matt says, seeming disgusted at the word cute. The way he's looking at me definitely says words that make him seem beyond the word cute; seeming more like the word hot, or even sexy.
