Lacey's POV

Waking up next to Matthew has to be the best feeling in the world, yet it feels so wrong. I already told Mahogany I would back off, and here I am in bed with him. I roll over to face his innocent face. He's still asleep and I can't help but admire how youthful and innocent he looks. I smile lightly. The urge to run my digits through his soft, brown hair takes over me and I do so, a small smile taking over his lips, eventually, to match mine.

"Good morning," I whisper. His eyes slowly crack open, landing on me. Lips part to speak but no words come out, as if he's dumbfounded. "What?" I giggle.

"You're beautiful," his raspy, morning voice barely gets out. I look away sheepishly, a blush lighting my cheeks, a smile doing the same to my lips. I see his cheeky grin when I look back at him.

If only this moment could last but, unfortunately, it doesn't.

There's a loud, disrupting knock on the door. "Espinosa, let's go! We have a meet and greet in ten!" Cameron yells from the hallway. Matt grunts and rolls over, looking at his phone.

"Crap! It's almost 1:30!" He exclaims. With swift movements, he jumps out of bed, throws on his clothes for the day, combs through his hair and runs out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I stay frozen in the bed, eyes wide in bafflement as I try to process what had just happened.

In no time, the door swings back open, a rushed Matthew running back in, towards me. "Bye." His hand finds the back of my head, bringing my forehead to his lips in a light peck. He dashes back out of the hotel room afterwards. I blink. What just happened? It's not long before a grin creeps onto my lips. I roll to the other side of the bed with a girly, excited squeal. My eyes fall on Matt's cellphone, which he seemingly left on accident in his haste. As I reach for it, I have a sneaky smile to add effect.

I click the on button and slide my finger across the unlock screen and, thankfully, there's no passcode. I open up the Twitter app and decide to hack him.

@TheMattEspinosa:
My nipples hurt.

It's not the most creative thing in the world but I think his fans will get a kick out of it either way. I close Twitter and go to his camera to take a few goofy selfies before making my way to instagram. I follow a few fan accounts that I find appealing. I laugh at the irony when I find a username called @mattsnipple. I also like some edits of him and soon close his phone, bored.

It isn't too long after that before there is a knock at the door, the person letting themself in. I shift my gaze from the television to find Taylor standing there. He is definitely one of the last people I want to see right now.

"I'm sorry," is the first thing that leaves his lips.

"Shouldn't you be at your meet and greet?" I roll my eyes, ignoring his statement. He obviously chose this time to apologize because Matt wouldn't be here.

"I should.. But I wanted to apologize."

"Please, leave me alone," I say sternly, standing up from the bed to face him.

He nods. "I will.. after you answer a question." Awkwardly, he scratches the back of his neck. He takes a deep breath before finding my eyes again. "What are you hiding?" I look away from him. I have the sudden urge to hide and never come out. I don't want to talk about my past. I just want to move on.

I hear the door open again and I see Matt. "Taylor?" He questions when he enters the room. "What are you doing here?" His voice now holds an edge. "She doesn't want to talk to you."

"I was just leaving." He doesn't take his cold eyes off of me.

"I'm sure you were," Matthew remarks as Taylor exits the room.

"Everything was fine," I reassure.

"I don't want you hanging around him.. especially after yesterday." I say nothing but my eyebrows furrow at his protective nature. Matt walks over to the bed and sits down, opening his phone. I'm assuming he opens Twitter because he looks at me, laughing.

"Nipples?" He raises his eyebrows.

"So I'm not very creative. Sue me." He laughs at my response

"And I see you didn't hesitate in taking some adorable selfies either."

"For the record," I say, "they're not adorable," I mumble, flushing lightly.

I walk over and sit next to him on the bed. My head falls onto his shoulder, looking down at his phone screen. I see that he's on intagram.

"Whatcha doin'?" I curiously wonder.

"Nothing.." He attempts to hide his smile as he moves the phone screen out of my view.

"Matt?" I remove my head from his shoulder to try to peek at his screen but he keeps it from my prying eyes.

"Too late!" He yells, throwing his phone on the bed and running out of the room. Things like this make me question Matt's sanity. I reach over and grab his phone to see what he was doing on it a moment ago. As I unlock it, I see instagram is open and he had just posted a picture. I'm surprised when I see that it's picture of me. As a matter of fact, it's one of the pictures I had taken on Matt's phone while he was out. I nearly melted when I read the caption. "She just doesn't know how beautiful she is."
