Lacey's POV
I look into the mirror, why do I do this to myself. I let myself suffer through everything that happens/is happening, when in reality, I could put myself out of this misery at any given second. I used to think that life wasn't that bad, that it was actually a pretty wonderful thing. That was so long ago.
I will never begin to understand people. They cast you under a spell, trapping you for as long as you're in their presence. Right when you begin to trust them, they'll do something to completely shut you down and make you wander why you even wanted to be around them in the first place.
Why do I always look on the dark side of things? Because there is no bright side; no matter what way you look at it. I slide down to the ground, clutching my hair in fists. I breathe in and out, resisting the urge to cut. I stare at a razor ironically sitting atop the counter, by the sink. I stand up, reaching for it. I hold it in my hand and slam it to the ground, letting it break into a bunch of pieces. I pick up one of the four blades, grazing it over my skin
"Stop!" Matthew bursts into the small bathroom and flicks the blade out of my hand, dragging me out, and into the hallway.
"Matt leave me alone!" I yell at him.
"You promised you wouldn't." he stares at his feet, scratching the back of his neck.
"Have you ever heard of personal space? What if that wasn't what I was doing in there? What if I was naked?"
"You were in there for a long time." he reasons.
"Well that doesn't mean to barge into the bathroom while I'm in there!"
"I'm just trying to protect you." he looks into my eyes.
"Goodbye Matthew." I walk back into the hotel room and so does he. I once again walk into the bathroom as he walks past, joining the rest of the group in the other room. I grab each of the blades, tossing them into the toilet, and flushing it, breathing out. I pick up the remainder of the broken razor and toss it into the waste bin. I then walk out, meeting everybody in the living room portion of the room I share with Mahogany.
"I'm so bored---" Hayes exaggerates, flopping onto a bed.
"Well then let's do something." I smile. He sits back up, resting on his elbows while giving me a nasty look. I lean against the frame of the hallway examining everybody.
"Hey I know!" Carter pipes up, "Lets play a good old game of truth or dare." he gives off a devious smile.
"Ugh.. you guys always want to play truth or dare!" Mahogany complains.
"Do you have any better ideas?" Nash raises an eyebrow. Mahogany huffs and sits on the floor with her legs crossed as I and the boys follow her actions, forming a circle.
"We need a bottle!" Johnson throws his into the air, seeming frustrated. I turn to see Cameron picking up a plastic water bottle, untwisting the lid, drinking the rest, twisting the lid back on, and finally making his best attempt at throwing is at Jack's face.
"I guess I'll spin first." Jack J. laughs while spinning the bottle. It lands on Hayes and Johnson's smile only grows wider.
"Truth.. or dare?" he wiggles his eyebrows.
"Truth." Hayes replies, matter-of-factly. Jack turns to Jack as thy whisper things in each others ear. Gilinsky shrugs and then look back at Hayes.
"Have you ever had a crush on anyone in the room?" he extends his arms as he asks the question. Hayes blushes at the question, answering it without even having to say words.
