8: Niall learns to play twinkle twinkle little star

Harry's eyes widened "Shoot I hadn't told Louis yet Ni" Louis rolled his eyes "Harry look at you, you think I didn't know? If you were that close and my gaydar wasn't blaring I would think something was very wrong with me"

Harry grinned "well surprise I'm Bi, All Bi myself" he did a little drumroll on the table and Niall cuffed him in the back of the head "OWIE NI, YOU FUCKER!" Harry signed aggressively flipping the boy off before rubbing the back of his head "what the bloody hell was that for!?"

Niall shrugged "your terrible humor and for not telling Louis sooner" Harry nodded side-eyeing the boy "you didn't have to smack me though," he said still massaging the back of his head. Louis chuckled "so uhm guys?"

The squabbling pair looked over at him "I sort of have something to admit, I didn't want to make things awkward when we first met so I didn't say anything but"

"Cause we are telling each other things, I thought id let you know I'm fluent in sign language. Have been since I was 16. Sorry for not telling you sooner"

The two boy's jaws dropped, "so you understand?" Louis nodded "yeah"

Niall shook his head "no way that's awesome, right Harry?" Harry in question was still completely in shock and kind of in awe of Louis.

Niall reached over and snapped his fingers in the boy's face to get his attention before repeating his question "it's awesome Louis can sign, right Harry?"

Harry nodded "yeah, yeah, cool, it's brilliant" Louis chuckled "again I'm sorry I didn't say sooner" Niall shrugged "you've told us now and I think that's what matters" Harry nodded "so cool"

The younger boy was still staring at Louis and Niall used a finger to push his jaw closed, "Harry dear close your mouth you look like a goldfish" Harry held his jaw closed blushing again when he met Louis' piercing blue gaze "sorry Louis"

Louis smiled "it's alright love I know I'm captivating" Harry grinned his dimples showing through his left ever so slightly stronger than his right.

"So Harry do I get my hoodie back? Or is it lost forever?" Louis asked causing Harry to look down at the hoodie he still had on, it was an old footie hoodie with Tomlinson 28 written across the back, Louis had to admit he looked cute in it.

"So Louis, Tomlinson 28 huh? You played properly?" Niall gave him a disapproving look still stuck on the footie vs golf argument from earlier.

Louis nodded "yeah I was kinda professional, I played for the Donny rovers before I moved down here" "That's cool," Niall said icily, Louis thought he was joking with the icy tone but he wasn't entirely sure.

Louis glanced at the time "Jeez it's already ten past three" the other two also looked at the clock "feels like ten or something" Harry said while the other two agreed.

"Well, what do you two wanna do now?" Louis asked putting his now empty tea mug down on the table, Harry shrugged "you could try to teach Ni to play the piano, I know I can't hear it but it would still be pretty funny"

Niall paled at the idea "you know I'm not so-" Louis waved his excuses away "That's a great Idea Harry" Niall shook his head "it's really not" Louis shook his head "nonsense come on I can teach you Twinkle Twinkle"

The blonde sighed allowing himself to be dragged into the living room, Harry gawped at the piano "Oh my goodness she's so pretty" he ran a hand over the wood entranced by it. Louis grinned "she isn't she"

Harry nodded still staring at it "I miss hearing" He randomly stated, Louis stood confused, and no one said anything because Harry obviously wasn't ready to explain, at least not to Louis.

Louis looked at Harry, Harry looked at Niall and Niall nudged Louis "so twinkle twinkle then?" Louis snapped out of his trance and nodded "yeah it'll be good practice for me Monday lessons it'll get me back in teacher mode.

Harry watched as Louis explained notes and patterns to Niall, repeatedly making him copy rhythms he couldn't hear but he was entranced by the way Louis leant over Niall as he showed him the basics occasionally pushing his glasses up his nose or running a hand through his hair.

Niall was snapping his fingers in Harry's face "HARRY. I can play twinkle twinkle!" Harry laughed, again surprising himself "that's nice Niall you gonna play it for us then?" Niall nodded but paused upon seeing Louis' confused expression.

Harry caught on faster "I can't hear the music, but I can feel the vibrations on the piano plus I know what twinkle twinkle sounds like, it's not exactly a hard tune to forget" Louis nodded but still looked confused "Lou come here, I'll show you"

Butterflies erupted in Louis when Harry used the nickname, he didn't think Harry would use it out loud; but it sounded better than he ever thought it would.
