Louis laughed thinking about last Friday, God he wished that this week was over. He'd seen Harry on Sunday when the taller boy had come over for tea, they hadn't talked much as they were both tired but enjoyed each other's presence- Niall wasn't there because he had headed into the office to find a few things so he could stay home and work for a few days.
He was kinda upset because this week he wasn't going to see them until the next Friday as their short Wednesday tea-chat had something over it, he wasn't sure, but he knew that Harry was kinda gutted about it. So was he, of course, he hated it when his work got in the way of his friends, especially Harry. As he was about to head through the door, he got an email from Principal Cordon,
Hello Louis,
The staff meeting is a little different today, we will be having a football match so you can get to know your coworkers better. It will hopefully be entertaining for your students as well.
Don't Forget to bring your trainers! Or football boots
All the best
Principal J. Cordon
A grin split his face; they didn't know what they were in for. They must not have heard that Louis played for the Donny rovers when he was younger- professionally. A thought hit him
Hi James,
I won't forget my boots! Remember I played professionally so just maybe bring some knees pads... I was just wondering whether it would be okay for a couple friends to come see the game? If not that's perfectly alright- child safeguarding and all.
Thanks
L. Tomlinson
A message pinged back from Principal Cordon Immediately
Oh dear! I had forgotten, I'm thinking excuse my unprofessional language I'm gonna get my ass kicked. Of course, you can bring your friends! As long as you approve them to be safe around kids, and I trust you to do so even though you are one of the youngest staff members. See you later, Bring your A game.
Louis laughed at the message
Thanks James, I will. Be ready.
Louis slipped his phone into his pocket and headed to the downstairs closet to find his old footie kit. It was clean and neatly folded into a bag in the cupboard under the stairs, he grabbed it swinging it over his shoulder next to his normal satchel. It took him back to his school days when he commonly carried both of these bags around.
Louis skipped out the door grinning at the slightly orangey leaves that just weeks ago had been bright green, he loved autumn. As he walked across his lawn the grass crunched slightly frosted it was quite cold and Louis was glad for his jacket and soft scarf.
He jogged across the road knocking on Niall and Harry's door, promptly a quite disheveled Harry opened the door "Lou, its seven in the morning" Louis grimaced "yeah sorry about that i forget normal people dont work on the school timetable" Harry shrugged pulling his dark grey fluffy dressing gown tighter around him, "Its okay, Do you need something?" Harry said rubbing a hand over his face.
Louis nodded "its silly really but we have a school football match and i wondered if you'd want to come" Harry chuckled "Sure but why would i want to come watch kids play football particularly" Louis laughed "no, no, silly its a teachers vs teachers game"
Harry laughed again "well in that case count me in, just text me when and where" Louis snatched his phone out of his pocket and quickly texted Harry all the information before he forgot.
Harry looked at the device in his pocket "Ok, if there's nothing else? i'll see you at 4? not that im trying to get rid of you- i just dont want you to be late or anything cause of me" Louis nodded "theres nothing else, I wont be late dont worry and you really dont have to come... also Niall can come if he wants to. I dont know i guess maybe I'll see you there."
Harry shook his head at the shorter boys rambling, "I'll be there Lou, I think Niall has a meeting but i can check" Harry gave him a half hug before letting him go hurriedly.
"see you later Harry!" Louis said grinning Harry waved and watched Louis' retreating back as he walked down the road, Louis must really love autumn because he would probably seen as quite mad walking in these weather conditions.
Especially in black skinny jeans, a smart button down with a coffee brown knitted jumper pulled over the top with a pretty gold chain hanging just in sight between the points of the collar- not that Harry was looking of course.

Louis was jumping up and down waiting for the game to begin as his fellow teachers got into teams around him, it was quite the funny sight to see- all of his colleagues in sportswear especially principal Cordon, who had chosen a particularly unflattering canary yellow tracksuit with a matching headband.
Louis was a little disheartened by the fact that he hadn't been able to spot the black skinny jeans clad curly lad, but he was trying not to let that get him down.
Harry on the other hand was running, he had gotten lost in the maze of pitches surrounding the school and had let out a breath of relief when he saw the crowd of people but groaned when he realized there was a fence in between and he would have to walk all the way round the pitch and find a gate by the time he had finally gotten through the gate the game had already started.
Harry glanced around the pitch it looked pretty chaotic in his opinion due to the jumbled uniform and very tight coloured bibs, there was a team blue and a team green by the looks of things and Louis wasn't hard to spot.
The shorter boy was wearing a distinctive long sleeved red Under-Armour. black shorts and to top it off a red and white team shirt, which clashed horribly with the blue team bib he was wearing, but it didn't clash as badly as the teacher in the canary tracksuit's outfit- the neon green and neon yellow definitely wasn't pleasant on the eyes.
Harry was glad he was tall at this point as he could see over the heads of the recording students and other friends of teachers and maybe student parents, he had quite a clear view and from what he could tell they had only just started.
As the game progressed Harry started to realise just how good Louis was at football, he was extremely fast and agile making it simple for him to dodge his colleagues, it almost looked as if Louis was teasing them with the ball but easily jogged past the out of breath principal and scored with a little tap into the goal.
Louis raised his hands up and grinned doing half a victory lap before bringing his hands back down to his chest before signing "Butterfly" A grin splitting across his face as blue met green in the crowd.
The small gesture made Harry's heart jump especially when he noticed Louis jog of the pitch letting his colleagues play a somewhat sillier more fair version of football, and head straight for where the taller boy was standing propped against the fence.
