Chan first met Minho when he was visiting a new cafe that had opened in the neighborhood. He seemed sweet, quiet, like a boy you would meet at a church. There was live music playing, nothing too loud or attention grabbing, just something calm to add to the mellow atmosphere of the quaint coffee shop. Minho was sitting closest to the stage, his eyes closed as he drummed his fingers across the table to the beat.
Chan took a seat next to him. "Incredible, isn't it?"
Minho opened his eyes slowly and his mouth twitched into a smile. "It really is."
"I'm Chan, by the way,"
"Lee Minho," He responded, returning his attention to the performer. They say there, making idle chit-chat until the performer announced that this was the last song of the evening. Chan had learned that Minho was a choreographer for a studio not far from here, and that he also lived with 3 of his closest friends just like Chan did. Minho had even shown him pictures of his three cats.
His presence was so soothing, it was as if his voice melted straight into the music and made it even better. Everything about him was soft, gentle, comforting. It made Chan start to think.
"You know, I could introduce you two," Chan suggested, nodding towards the man singing on stage.
That caught Minho's attention. "Really? You know him?"
"Yeah, " Chan responded non-nonchalantly. "His name is Jisung."
"Jisung," Minho echoed, looking at the stage.
Sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar over his shoulder was Han Jisung. There was a smile on his face as he sang slowly into the microphone. He seemed to be completely in his own world as he performed to the crowd. The warm glow of lights seemed to fit his soft features perfectly, highlighting him as if he were an angel.
Minho felt something in his chest, almost like pain but more comparable to an ache that has always been there, but was just now flaring up. A sense of panic filled him.
He stood abruptly, catching Chan off guard.
"When will he be back?" Minho asked, suddenly in a hurry to leave. "I have to go somewhere, but I would love to meet him next time I'm around."
"Next week?" Chan supplied, unsure if it were completely true. "Wednesday, same time."
"Perfect," Minho said, just above a whisper before turning and leaving without a goodbye.
Chan waved weakly and ran over the strange interaction over in his mind. He had left so quickly that Chan had to convince himself that the whole thing wasn't just a figment of his imagination.
The last chord of the song was played and it rang out through the room. The ending was met with cheering and clapping, and it seemed that for the first time Jisung had noticed that he was playing in front of people.
In a timid voice he thanked the crowd and rushed off the stage.

Chan and Jisung got back to the dorm late at night and flipped the lights on. Despite the late hour, their other dormmates weren't there yet.
"Who was that guy you were sitting with?" Jisung asked randomly. He remembered the boy in the front row with the striking purple hair talking to Chan. He remembered feeling the urge to look at him the whole time.
"Funny you mention him..." Chan started. "He actually wanted to meet you but had to leave early, he wants to see you again Wednesday."
Jisung was absolutely dumbfounded. "Are you serious?"
Chan nodded. "You know, he seemed pretty into-"
"Yes! My first groupie!" Jisung interrupted, clasping his hands together then walking into the kitchen.
Chan sighed affectionately and followed. "Are you hungry?"
"Is that even a question?"

Minho opened the door to his dorm as quietly as possible because he knew everyone else would be asleep. His heartbeat was still racing even after he had walked all the way home. Jisung. His name echoed through his mind.
As soon as he stepped inside he found Felix awake on the couch with another guy.
"Who is this?" Minho asked, one hand on his hip.
Felix and the other man turned their heads towards Minho with slight surprise.
"I didn't think you were coming back tonight..." Felix started to say. "Why were you out so late?"
"Answer me first," Minho demanded.
"I'm Hyunjin," He answered for himself, sitting up a little straighter.
Minho had become a parental figure to his younger dormmates, but especially to Felix. Not only was this his first time living on his own, but it was in a completely unfamiliar environment. He was born in Australia and moved to Korea in order to focus more on his dancing and to study Korean. He had met Minho at the dance studio, and from there Minho had essentially adopted him.
In short, he was pretty protective of Felix.
Minho shot a glare in Hyunjin's direction but decided to leave them alone for the night. He had enough on his mind at the moment. He would deal with whatever was going on with Felix in the morning.
"Hey, you never answered my question!" Felix said as Minho opened his bedroom door.
"I was at that new cafe," Minho explained.
Felix stuck out his tongue out of annoyance from not getting a good story. "Boring."
Minho didn't give him the satisfaction of a response and just went into his room. He ran his hand through his hair and just stood there trying to make sense of his own racing mind.
