[Third Person's Point of View]

Happily, Taylor and Daena link arms, as Daena's long golden dress trails beautifully behind her. Taylor can't help but feel a warm touch of affection for the gorgeous girl by his side. He really had no regrets now.

Daena, the same as Taylor, can't help but wonder what her life would have been like if she never walked into that elevator that day. What if she had woken up and never gotten in that fight with her mom on the phone? What if everything turned out alright and she was in no rush to storm to the elevator? Would Taylor still have found her?

Taylor notices the frown on Daena's face and leans down, his husky breath against her neck make the hairs on the back rise. "You're too beautiful to frown. Let everyone see the smile that I adore so much" he whispers, leaving a lingering kiss on her cheek. She blushes, looking up to show her pearly white teeth in a grin.

"Thank you" she whispers. Taylor looks at her in confusion. "For always being there for me, not giving up and coming to find me. I was a real bitch to you and I'm sor-"

"You don't have to apologize, it was my fault for not telling you. It's in the past and you are my future. Let's just forget everything and spend this night together without worry. This is our one and only prom, so please enjoy it while it last. I love you Daena and I can't wish for any other girl to be by my side tonight" Taylor finishes with a breathtaking grin. Daena bursts out in tears of joy, she's positive her makeup is ruined, but at the moment she doesn't care. The man she loved had just said it back. She was speechless at first, but managed to say something. Four words that made Taylor's world a whole lot better.

"I love you too" Daena whispers, leaving in to press her lips to her boyfriend, her love, her one and only. Taylor feels the same in every way and wraps his arms around her waist. They have yet to notice the crowd that had surrounded around them, cheering. Pulling away Taylor is surrounded not only by classmates, but also his family. Nash, Carter, Jack G and J, Cameron, Aaron, Shawn, Matt and even Jessie. He couldn't wish for anything more. This was his family and he wouldn't trade it for the world.

He's glad he helped save Jessie that night. Helped Matt save the girl he loved. Life was finally peaceful for them. No more worries for tonight. Just love.

The song Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson came on. Daena's arms wrapped around Taylor's neck, pulling him closer to her. She laid her head on his shoulder, while she hummed to the song.

Daena hummed to the whole song, while they swung side to side. Taylor finally felt complete with Daena in his arms. The world finally felt right to him and he knew that no matter what happened he wanted her by his side through anything. Now Taylor knew that even when Daena tried to get away, fate always had strange ways of bringing them together.

He never truly understood the risk that Matt had taken to be with Jessie. Why he was so persistent. Now he finally got it. Love will make you fight for the person no matter the obstacles. Whether it be an angry older brother or some crazy psychotic guys.

Taylor looked over at Matt with a laugh. Matt shoots him a strange look, but Taylor simply shakes his head and focus on the beauty in front of him. He was happy that Daena came into my life, she truly made him a better man.
