Chapter 18: The Incident

[Jessie's POV]

As I lay on my bed at 5:30am thinking back to my days before this. The days before I came to Magcon and met Matt. The days before the incident happened.

I try to go back to sleep, but memories of that night come flashing back to haunt me. Then I start to think about Emma.

I think about texting her to get my mind off things. I grab my phone from the charger and text Emma without a second thought.

Jessie- Heyy u awake? -.-

A few minutes go by when the screen lights up with a new message.

Emma- Where have you been?! I've been alone at school and when I go to your house your dad tells me u went on tour with Cameron! Why didn't you tell me!?!

I think for a moment taking in her words. I was so excited I completely forgot to tell her I left to begin with.

Jessie- I'm so sorry I forgot. I was so excited and in a rush I had no time to text you:( Plz forgive me:/

Emma- Fine, but only because you have an excuse that makes sense. Not that you wanted to bang one of your brothers hot friends😏

Emma- any of them like ya yet?

I take a few seconds to think if I should tell her about Matt. I end up with a simple....

Jessie- Well....

Emma- OMG WHO IS IT!!!!

Jessie- no one I gtg bye

Before she can bother me with more questions I close our conversation. She'll keep bothering me, but I'll have to ignore her for now. At least until Matt and I are official.

I look through the rest of my contacts until one stands out.

Lukey Puckey😚

The boy I met on the plane that Cam threw out before we could have any real conversation.

I decide to see if he's awake and text him.

Jessie Wessie🙊-Heyy:$

A few minutes go by before my screen lights up.

Lukey Puckey😚- Heyy thought I've never hear from you. Did you get grandpa under control?

I laugh at his comment and quickly reply back.

Jessie🙊-nah he got worse:| Not having the best night

Lukey Puckey😚- why?

Jessie Wessie🙊- something happened a while back and it still haunts me:{}

Lukey Puckey😚- wanna talk about it. We are friends right?

Jessie Wessie🙊- ya. I guess it's better to tell someone then hold it all in. But I'd rather it's be in person(:

Lukey Puckey😚- how bout I meet you at a Starbucks?

Jessie Wessie🙊-sounds good. I'm at the Hard Rock Hotel.

After my talk with Luke the stress I had left a little. I was able to sleep a little bit more than before, but at time to time I would wake up afraid.
