[Jessie's Point of View]
"Jess get up its almost time to get to the airport!" Cam yells straight into my damn ear. I burst up from my bed, nearly falling off. The covers were ripped from me immediately, so I didn't have an option of going back to bed once I killed Cam.
"I'm up, I'm up god damn man you almost popped my eardrums," I exaggerated, yes, but it was better then having my brother scream into your ear at 5 in the morning.
"Sorry but we really need to go. You have 30 minutes," he says, running downstairs to the kitchen with my bag. Geez if I know there was only that much time, I would have woken up earlier. I wouldn't have wanted to, but it's better then having such a same time limit. I don't have time to take a shower, so I'll just take one at the hotel. I went over to my closet and after rummaging through it, I chose to wear something comfortable, since I was gonna be in the plane most of the day.
I decided to go with black sweats from Pink with a neon pink crop top and black converse. You can never say no to some comfy sweatpants.
I put my hair into ponytail and ran downstairs to say my last goodbyes. It was only Cam, my dad and me. Our mom died when I was about 3 years old, while Cam was 6 years old. I never really got to know her but according to my brother she was the best woman in the world. The sweetest and most understanding mother any kid could have. There are times when I wish I could have known her as well as Cam. I will admit that I do get a bit jealous when he goes on and on about all the 6 years he had with while I only remember small bits of her. Cameron says that I look a lot like her, which always cheers me up. I inherited my brown and green eyes from her, while Cam got his brown hair and eyes from my dad. My shade of hair was only a bit darker then Cam's was.
"Bye dad, I'll see you in 2 months," I say to him, wrapping my arms around him tightly. He didn't let go of the hug once I tried to pull away; I was there for at least 5 minutes.
"Dad don't crush her, she needs air," Cam said, laughing from the sidelines. Thank god he said that because I thought my dad was about to turn me into mush. Cameron helped unwrap my father's arms from around me.
"Sorry honey. I'm just really going to miss you. Be careful and no boys," he say, making sure to add that last part. I rolled my eyes, him and Cameron have always been protective of me; especially with boys.
"Don't worry dad I already set the rules," Cam nodded towards him from behind me, while I took the last of the luggages to the taxi.
What did he mean by rules? Does he actually mean that I can't talk to any boys.
This is gonna be a long trip...
~
The ride to the airport was pretty quiet with only Cameron speaking on the phone with his manager. Apparently, someone pulled out last minute. Cameron told me that it was Nate's brother? I think that's his name.
We arrived at the airport and the Cam payed the driver, while I took the bags out.
"Flight 219 to Florida now ready to bored," said a lady on the speaker. Looking down at my ticket, I saw that it was our flight.
"Come on we can't miss the plane," Cam shouts running fast, pushing everyone in his way. I mumbled sorry's to the poor people that had to endure my brother shoves to the face. I laughed at the one guy who got completely knocked over, followed by many others. They looked like a bunch of human dominoes.
I ran fast behind, boarding onto the plane right behind my aggressive brother.
Once we were on, we went to find our seats. Cam sat two seats in front of me next to these two girls around his age, so he wasn't complaining. He sat right in the middle of the two ogling girls. Chuckling, I continued until I found my seat.
Upon finding my seat, the plane was just about to take flight. I was between a business man in his 20's and a boy maybe a years or two older than me. The older man was wearing a black and white suit. He was handsome with his brown curls pushed back with gel and vibrant green eyes. If he was my age, I'd be all over him. He smiled at me and I returned the favour.
Once I got comfy, sleep began to overtake me. I fell into a dream filled sleep about all the things that could happen on the trip.
But none of the things I dreamed about, were anything like what was about to happen.
~
I was deep into my sleep when I felt a hand tap my shoulder. I groaned, mumbling incoherent curse words at the person who felt the need to wake me. I yawned, looking over to the boy who was about my age. Now looking at him clearly, I noticed how good looking he actually was.
Wow I probably looked like shit compared to him.
"Hey, sorry to wake you but we're almost about to land, " said the guy on my right. I admired his stunning looks, completely forgetting to answer him.
"It's no problem thanks" I said kinda glad he talked to me. I've never been able to have a real conversation with a guy before.
"So what's your name? Mines Luke Rileys" he asks kindly. He had gorgeous green eyes with dirty blond hair. His smile could make any girl fall onto their knees. The way he looked at me, made him look so friendly and kind that I felt like I knew him much longer then 3 minutes.
"I'm Jessie Dallas, but you can call me Jess, " I answer with a friendly smile. His green eyes shined with something, but I ignored it and forced on talking to this handsome guy for as long as I could.
"So Luke, " I start the conversation.
"Yeah?" he looks over at me curiously. We still had about an hour before the plane landed in Florida. Maybe he wanted to talk to me too because when he woke me he said we were about to land.
"Let's play twenty questions," I offer grinning. He shared the same excitement as me and nodded.
During the last hour we talked and got to know each other more. I found out that he was visiting his grandparents with his mom and step-dad. He has a younger sister named Lauren that is 4 years old and that she was the cutest little girl in the world. I told him about my life and how I was going to Magcon with my brother. He was a very tentative listener and actually seemed interested in what I had to say.
By the time we were done, we had became pretty good friends. Before I could get out of the isle, he asked me, "hey, how about I give you my number and we can hang out sometime?"
"Yeah totally," I grinned at the happiness that radiated off of him. I still can't believe that I got this lucky. My first time having a full conversation with a guy and he was cute as a bonus.
I put in my number into his phone. When I got it back, I checked the contact which he wrote as 'Luke❤️'.
I took his phone and wrote, 'Jess is better then you all🙊', as my contact. He laughed at my long contact name.
It felt great not having Cameron breath down my neck every two seconds for once.
"Planes are a lot more fun when your brother's not around," I mutter silently to myself. He smiled over at me, thankfully not mentioning if he did hear what I said.
