"What are you doing?" Arthur asked Tori as he entered their bedroom

"What are you doing?" Arthur asked Tori as he entered their bedroom. Hiram sat happily in his crib playing with some of his toys, but Tori bustled around the room, jamming things into three satchels and several sets of old, leather saddlebags.

"Getting ready to go," she said stiffly. "What does it look like?"

"What are you puttin' in there? He questioned, looking over her shoulder. Sticking out of the open saddlebag she currently worked on were several plastic syringes and a couple of the luer lock needles they used on the horses and cows for administering injections.

Tori sighed and jammed a bottle of Tylenol in the bag next to the syringes. "Packing a medicine cabinet. I refuse to be prescribed cocaine by some quack just because I have a sinus infection. Francis gave me a list of medicines to bring, and I'm packing them. The needles are for the antibiotics I brought; I couldn't get human antibiotics and Francis isn't legally allowed to prescribe non-psychiatric medications, so I'm having to bring a couple bottles of the injectable ones we use for the horses. It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing, and Francis will be the one administering it anyway."

"Which antibiotics?"

"He said to grab some Biomycin. The main ingredient, tetracycline, has a lot of uses in humans, and it's more broad-spectrum than even penicillin. It's still nothing even close to the antibiotics you take to prevent TB reinfection, but Francis says he can get you plenty of those."

Arthur raised an eyebrow and sat down on the bed. "What about them other pills I take?"

Tori halfway smiled. "The anti-psychotic? He says he's got plenty of those, too. Don't worry, Arthur. You won't have to go off your meds at all."

"Good," Arthur said, breathing a sigh of relief. "What else did you pack?"

At this, Tori full on smiled. "A few comforts from home, namely things I tend to crave when I'm pregnant, like cinnamon and peanut butter. I also brought some Doritos and a bottle of Chick-fil-a sauce because I know those are things you and Jackson like."

"Anything else?"

"Well, there's stuff for me like shampoo and deodorant and razor blades. I don't want to be stuck using only lye soap on myself, and I know opportunities for baths will be a bit hard to come by, so I'm preparing." She paused. "Would you like me to bring anything for you?"

Arthur shook his head. "No. I got by just fine without it before, and baths really weren't that expensive back then. I'll buy you one every night if you want, including hiring a saloon girl to bathe you so you don't have to lift a finger."

Tori smirked. "You could always bathe me yourself, you know. It's about time you did something nice for me."

At this, Arthur frowned. Her eyes said she was joking, but her voice held an entirely different inflection entirely. "Don't I do enough for you already?" he asked. "I keep us fed and keep a roof over our heads. Ain't that enough?"
