An; first in four categories!! 100+ votes and 3k reads already!! Oh my god! Thank you so much for all the love on this book<3

Today's big question:

If you aren't aware, I'm a raging bisexual. I love Dodge almost as much as I love Gabe, but I'm aware that some of you won't feel the same.

So, I felt the need to ask -and please be honest- how would we feel about some Dodge/Avery tension? Nothing too major, just maybe the odd comment or little things like always using Avery as bait but never hurting her when Dodge attacks the Lockes, just some little things to hint at Gabe being Dode. Lmk!!

Also, just felt you all should know, I'm speeding up the timeline a bit, because I know they need chemistry for the whole Gabe being evil dynamic to work but I'm just going to speed shit up. I'm aiming for Avery to find out Gabe is Dodge at chapter 10 at the latest, and if I stick to my plans, she's going to be turned in chapter 20, the very final chapter. Some events from the plotline of the show will be skipped or added to work with what I'm writing, so some things might not add up, but don't question it.

Chapters 1-10 will take place over the period of about two months, and 11-20 maybe around three weeks.

!!LIL SPOILER!!

Looking back on this chapter, I think the kiss probably wasn't the best idea of mine, but I want to have a few romantic scenes between Amanda and Nephropidae that Avery and Gabe will have to film, to gradually attempt at some sort of tension between them being "friends" with obvious feelings for each other and having to shoot romantic scenes.

You'll probably notice, I've changed the plotline of the Splattering to foreshadow what will happen later on in this book, so pay attention to key events in the film; things like Nephropodidae's early intention to use Amanda for revenge, which later develops to become an obsession with her.

Anyways, hope I didn't bore you too much- happy reading!!

Avery struggled to feel excited about hanging out with the Savinis when she'd just discovered magic.

She and Kinsey had considered cancelling and staying up all night searching for more keys, or just using the one they had found, testing its limits, seeing new places, exploring further than Matheson's ice cream parlour. But Avery knew that magical keys wouldn't save her from school, and to survive school, she needed to make friends.

"Are you sure I look okay?"

Kinsey laughed, tying back her hair, "Anyone would think you're trying to impress somebody."

Avery smiled. They felt like friends again. It wasn't just an argument that had put a wedge between them, but between everything they had been through, the sisters had drawn apart. But now it was as though their new discovery was bringing the Locke siblings back together.
