Carina, Kax, Alex, Marcel, Angus and Marlene were sitting at the table, Kaz tapped his wand on the radio, "Pheonix."
The radio then turned on and Fred's voice was the first thing they heard
"Greeting to all of our listeners. We start today's broadcast with some sad news. We regret to inform you that the remains of Bathilda Bagshot have been discovered in Godric's Hollow. The evidence is that, despite sightings of her out walking in Godric's Hollow, Bathilda died several months ago. The Order of the Pheonix informs us that her body showed unmistakable signs of injury inflicted by Dark Magic. There was also evidence of a recent battle in her home, and the building next door."
Georges voice then came on the radio, "And has the Wizarding Wireless Network News reported any of this? No."
"The Wizarding Wireless "No News" Network." Fred said
"It is with great regret that we inform our listeners of the murder of Ted and Andromeda Tonks and Dirk Cresswell. A goblin by the name of Gornuk was also killed. It is believed that Muggle-born Dean Thomas and a second goblin, both believed to be travelling with the Tonks', Cresswell, and Gornuk, may have escaped. If Dean is listening, your parents and sisters are pretty desperate for news. We have to go off the air now, but as we do, we ask you to take a moment's silence, in memory of those who have fallen."
"You know them, don't you?" Carina asked
Marlene nodded, "Andromeda and Ted are my step-mum's parents. Andromeda is also my cousin. Don't ask really, it's complicated. Dean's in my year at Hogwarts."
Carina sighed and said, "I remember him."
Kaz picked up the newspaper from the counter and said, "Carina. Your surname's Hopkins yeah?"
Carina nodded, "Yeah why?"
"Do you know a Dante Hopkins?" Kaz asked
Carina stood up, took the newspaper and read it, "No...oh Merlin no." She dropped the paper and ran out of the room
Marlene looked after her then picked up the paper and read off of it, "It is with good news that we tell everyone that the fugitive hider Dante Hopkins has been killed. Hopkins is the muggle grandfather of an undesirable Carina Hopkins." She put the paper down on the table, "That was very gentle well done Lauder."
