Harry, Ron and Hermione walked into the Great Hall after coming up from the boathouse, no one rally knew who was winning. If anyone was actually winning it was very blurred.

When Harry walked in he saw Kaz tending to a cut on Carina's forehead. Marcel was passing water around, Angus and Alex were sitting together. Everyone looked broken, it made it even worse when Ron ran over to his family who were all crying over the body of one of their own.

Harry then spotted Draco and Marlene sitting together, looking like they actually needed each others presence something which he had never seen before. He wondered why Marlene would be with him when the rest of her family were in the same building.

Then he saw it. And he understood. He understood Marlene was leaning on Draco, because he was the one piece of actual family she had left. On the floor were the bodies of Zac Bletchley, Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks.

Marlene had told him not to do anything stupid but that was exactly what he was going to do. Marlene noticed him walking out of the hall and followed him out, "Harry James Potter! Stay right where you are!" Harry stopped walking and turned around, "You can't give yourself up to him."

"They're dead. Your family, because of me."

Marlene gave him a look, "What did I tell you when we got attacked? Don't give yourself so much credit, this is so much bigger than you. One thing I've been scared of my whole life is...is being alone and if you do this, then I will be."

Harry shook his head, "I have to do this. There's a reason I can hear them...the Horcruxes. I think I've known for a while. And I think you have too, you're smarter than that. The snake is the only one left..."

Marlene knew what he was telling her, he was telling her that he was a Horcrux just like the book, the cup, the necklace, the snake and all the others. Marlene walked towards Harry and hugged him

"That's my forest, I can get you there." Marlene said, she knew Harry well enough to know that he wasn't going to sit around and do nothing whilst the threat of mass murder was being hung over them at every second, Harry just shook his head, "Harry please..."
