Losing the Cat

Kaz walked into the room where Marlene was going through some boxes, "Lene. Lene. Marlene."

Marlene looked up at him, "What do you want?"

"I need your help- no I need your advice. Okay so if hypothetically in a hypothetical situation in which one. So if right...right if."

Marlene stood up, "I don't like where this is going I won't lie to you."

Kaz rolled his eyes, "If one hypothetically would be playing with their cat friend just for-for fun because they were bored and they got distracted because something moved and they just sort of jumped and dropped said cat friend down a crevice in their bed and now can't get said cat friend out of said crevice in said bed. Hypothetically how would you advise them to...yeah."

"Well hypothetically I would smack you in the face!"

Kaz nodded, "Brilliant. Right well off we go then."

Marlene groaned as she followed Kaz into his room, "Well where is she then?"

"Just uh...in there you can kind of hear her meowing if you listen hard enough." Kaz said

Marlene rolled her eyes and looked at him, "Could Alex really not have helped you though."

"Well I trust you to do it on your own." Kaz said

"Wow I appreciate it I really do." Marlene said as she sat on Kaz's bed

Kaz nodded, "Do what you got to do."

Marlene rolled her eyes as she put her arm down the side of the bed and picked up Andi from down the side, she put Andi on the bed before looking at Kaz, "Run."

"Yep okay I'm going." Kaz ran out of the room, "Marcel! Marlene's gone nuts again! Where the hell is Marcel!"

Marlene smiled as she stroked Andi, "Don't worry he will never look after you again."

"Movie time." Carina smiled as she sat down next to Marlene who was holding the camera, "Are there any order to these." 

Marlene nodded, "Probably but I've only just gotten to grips with turning it on, let me have this." 

"Today was a big day baby. I got let out of the house. I managed to persuade Moody that I would be fine I went with Uncle James and Remus. And you're oafish father...but as you can probably see I have a few scratches we're fine but our separation anxiety is not okay, we're all in the same room...You are all so loud! Alice please tell them to be quiet I am talking to my child."

"Hey Marls can you rub-"

Marlene cut James off, "I will not be rubbing anything on your back go ask your fiancée." She looked back at the camera, "On a more cooler note I swear to Merlin I saw Moody take out four death eaters at once it was insane. Your crazy father got his scarf caught on a nail I mean why was he even wearing a scarf we're in a heatwave, pregnant in a heatwave not fun...you know I think I just need a bath to get everything off of me assuming I have any soap left. Sirius! If you take it one more time you'll wake up with no hair. Right Dorcas can we go before I kill someone."

"Dorcas?" Kaz asked 

Marlene glanced at him, "Mum's girlfriend." 

Carina took the camera and pushed a button, "Now they're in the right order, you should have just come and found me." 

Marlene smiled as she played the next video

Marlene was sitting on the sofa with Andi on her lap when she smelt something, she looked over at Kaz, "Merlin's beard. Kaz!"

"What?" Kaz asked

Marlene gave him a look, "Werewolf nose Kaz. You need to stop eating sprouts man."

Kaz snorted, "It's not that bad."

Just then the door almost opened, "No, no Alex stay outside your nose is as big as all of ours combined you won't cope in here."

Alex shut the door again, "Charming thanks Lene."

Marlene looked at Kaz, "I am not trying to be mean, I care about you but your insides...your insides are rotting it is like something has crawled up your arse and died you should see a doctor." 

Kaz through a cushion at her with a smile, "Oh yeah and where am I going to see a doctor who wouldn't kill me on site. Choose your words." 

Alex then walked into the room, "Marcel messaged. Nothing worth telling the order today...they've seemingly upped their game since Nate." 

Marlene nodded, "They would. One of their own being killed adds a little...determination."

Kaz was looking at the camera as he said, "So this one says labour, do you think we're gonna see mama Marlene give birth to baby Marlene?...let's find out." 

"Kaz-" 

Alex was cut off by Alex playing a video 

"Merry Almost Christmas. It's the first of December and I am huge. Honestly I feel like a potato I'm ready to pop now. I brought your dad some of his own shampoo, so he doesn't keep stealing mine. I feel bad but I found Peter's presents already, I mean he tried he really did but I found them. Alice and Frank are giving joint gifts. As are Lily and James I think. Me and Dorcas really should have done that...We've been told that Christmas carolling is a no, my family love that so me and Sirius have decided to go around the different doors of the house begging for money instead. Seen as I have a feeling you're going to be around soon I brought you this." Marlene held up a little onesie with 'Christmas baby' written on it

"If you don't appear in this month I am going to be royally pissed off...busy, oh wait no Lily you can come in."

Lily then appeared next to Marlene, "I keep telling your mum to sit down and not do things, but no she won't listen to me. She looks like she is about to explode."

"I am right here. Lils tell me what Father Christmas does again."

"Well he comes down the chimney-"

Marlene cut Lily off, "Well that is breaking and entering. Father Christmas commits felon...Lily."

"No." Lily said

Marlene nodded, "Yep, right now. Right this very second. Sirius!"

Lily grabbed the camera, "Well Merry almost Christmas Baby Marlene and it looks like we'll be seeing you real soon. James, Remus. Panic stations people!"
