On Monday, her friends had everything packed and they were putting their things in Shyla's car when two girls from down the street came and started arguing with Tyesha.

"Bitch, if I catch you looking at my man again I'm gone whoop yo ass!" The tall girl yelled at Tyesha.

"Don't worry about me looking at ya man; worry about ya man looking at me. Cuz we can see he ain't got nothing to look at, at home," Tyesha told her while laughing.

Shyla, Leshua and Sabrina went over so that the girls wouldn't try to jump Tyesha.

"What's going on?" Sabrina asked as they walked up on the commotion.

"This ain't got nothing to do with you, so take yo skinny ass back over there," the tall girl said while rolling her eyes.

"Who the hell you calling skinny, bitch don't get hurt," Sabrina said to her.

D and the guys sat in the trucks watching from across the street until two guys came down the street.

"I know ya'll ain't trying to jump on my bitch, cuz I'm letting you know now, I hit females." One of the guys said.

Tray, Beanie Man, and Shorty got out the car and told the guys to back off. Not realizing what kind of danger they were in the guys laughed.

"What ya'll think ya'll gone do?" One of the guys said as he whistled and five more guys came from down the street ready for a fight.

"So ya'll tough huh?" Benie Man laughed.

Seeing the situation escalate, everybody that came with Shyla got out the trucks and walked over. All of them, except D, were in the street and including the girls, that totaled nineteen people.  So it was nine versus nineteen, plus D, who was in the car and would only get out if he needed to.

Now realizing what would happen if they pursued their fight the people from down the street backed down.

"Bitch bring yo ass on, how many times I gotta tell you, yo mouth gone get ya ass kicked one of these days!" The guy yelled as he pulled the tall girl by the arm in the opposite direction.

All the guys went back to their trucks and Shyla and her friends got in her car.

"So Shy which one of them was D?" Leshua asked when they headed toward the high way.

"None of them," Shyla answered.

"Come on, was it the one with the braids?" Tyesha asked.

"About ten of them had braids and no, D does not have braids. He wasn't out there so you still don't know what he look like." Shyla said without taking her eyes off the road.

"Oh that's nice, some guys step to you and your man doesn't even protect you." Sabrina said.

"First of all they stepped to ya'll, I was there to help you, and second of all, ya'll not going to see him under no circumstance so stop making up things and asking me questions." Shyla said while glancing at all of them, then she turned on the radio and turned it up when Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" came on.

They sat riding for about two hours switching from the radio to Pandora before they stopped at a gas station.

"Shy what up with ya friends?" Shorty asked.

"Ain't nothing up with 'em Shorty, back off," Shyla told him.

"So I can't holla?" He said glancing over at the car.

"Hell naw." Shyla said.

"A'ight man, but I'm still checking for 'em." Shorty said as he went into the gas station store.

Shyla knew that if one of her friends got involved with one of them then her and D's lives would be ruined by the wrath of her family. She liked not having to hear what they thought about him because they didn't know about him and she knew that if they found out their comments would be none stop, and then it would be more than three years before she saw them again.
