When they reached Atlanta they all went separate ways. Shyla and her friends went back to her and D's house. D went to Tray's house and the others went to their girlfriends or their chick for the month. Shyla's friends couldn't wait to get in her house hoping to catch a picture of D but little did they know that there were no pictures because they were thinking about remodeling or moving and had packed them all away. After frantically searching her house Shyla's friends were convinced that either she was lying or she really didn't want them to know D.
Shyla showed the girls to their room.
Leshua and Sabrina slept on a king size bed in one of the spare rooms and Tyesha slept on the full size sofa bed across the room from them. Although they had two extra rooms they shared a room because Tray was getting the other one. D didn't want them in the house by themselves, so Tray was on duty.
"What time is it?" Tyesha asked when she got up the next afternoon.
"2:27." Shyla, who had been woke since 7:00, told her.
"Dang I slept that long?"
"Yeah and Leshua and Sabrina still sleep so you up early." Shyla said, not looking up from the computer.
"Not if I can help it." Was Tyesha's reply, as she headed back into the room to wake up Sabrina and Leshua.
After everyone was awake, Shyla asked them what they wanted to do and they decided to go to the club. While they were getting ready Tray came into the house.
"Oh ya'll, this is Tray, D's best friend, and he's staying here with us. Shyla introduced them to him. The girls were sleep by the time he got back last night and when he left that morning, so they didn't meet him.
"Hey," Lesha said.
"You cute," Sabrina chimed in.
"Don't pay her any mind," Tyesha told him.
Tray laughed at the women. "Hello ladies. And thank you."
At ten o' clock they were on their way all dressed to kill getting stares from all around. When they arrive to the club the line was around the block. Shyla grabbed her friends and they followed her to the front of the line with everyone staring at them with envy.
"Hey James. D here?" Shyla said to the bouncer.
"Sup Shy, naw, not yet."
"A'ight come find me when he get here."
"Cool I got chew." James said as he removed the rope to let them in.
They found a table, got some drinks and started dancing. Shyla was reminded of all the fun you could have in front of the club, because she was always in VIP with D and the guys. Her friends were dancing and she was chilling when her friend Asia came and sat down.
"Sup Shy," Asia said siting down.
"Nothing much," Shyla said laughing at her friends and their horrible dancing.
"I see you brought your friends."
"Yeah had to bring a little of the Chi home with me."
"I know what you talking about. I wish I had some of Gary here with me." Asia told her referring to her hometown of Gary, Indiana.
They sat there talking and Shyla's friends came off the dance floor.
"Hey ya'll this Asia. Asia, this Leshua, Tyesha, and Sabrina." Shyla said as she pointed out each girl.
They exchanged greetings and then a guy came and whispered something in Shyla's ear and walked off.
A few minutes later Shyla went to go get another round of drinks, and on her way to the bar she went to the VIP section. D was sitting in the corner at his favorite table talking to a female and when Shyla walked up the girl got up and left. She never said anything to the girl or to D because they had that agreement that they could talk to the opposite sex as long as they didn't intertwine at the hips or lips. They had a brief conversation and then Shyla went to the bar, got their drinks, and made her way back to the table.
"Sho took you long enough." Sabrina said when Shyla returned to the table.
"Oh shut up." Shyla said not wanting to go into detail about where she'd been.
As soon as Shyla sat down, Rob walked over to the table.
"Hello ladies," he said.
"Oh hey Rob," Shyla said and introduced him to her friends.
"Shyla, if I recall correctly, you owe me a dance."
"Damn Rob, do you ever forget anything?" Shyla asked because it had been at least three months since she had last seen him.
"Forget you?" he asked. "Nah," Rob told her.
Laughing Shyla got up from the table. "I'm a woman of my word so let's go." Shyla said leading the way to the dance floor.
D sat in the VP, looking at the main dance floor. Even with all the people on the floor he could see Shyla perfectly.
"D!" Tray yelled.
"What?" D said coming out of his trance.
"Man what the hell? Did you hear what I said?" Tray asked.
"Hell naw," D said laughing.
Tray followed his gaze wondering what had D's attention. "D, she's just dancing." Tray said after seeing Shyla and the look in D's eyes.
"I know." D said still looking in Shyla's direction, and not liking the way she was flexing. He appreciated that years of gymnastics had helped her flexibility, and he usually had no problem with her dancing with other guys, but tonight was different.
"Tell her to come here," D said to Tray.
"Nigga I ain't yo errand boy, go tell her yourself," Tray told him.
"Right," D said, and picked up his drink and leaned back against the booth. "You ain't my errand boy. I don't trust my errand boy with my lady, and if her friends weren't here I'd go." D told him and then took a sip of his drink.
"Man ya'll know ya'll crazy as hell right? All this damn hiding, my first nephew better be named after me for all this work I'm putting in, Tray said as he got up to go get Shyla.
"Ya boy want you," Tray said when he reached Shyla on the dance floor.
"Aight, in a minute," she told him as the song was wrapping up.
"Naw Shy, he on that other, come on," Tray informed her.
"Rob, I'll be back, entertain my friends," Shyla told her dance partner and walked off following behind Tray.
Tray walked past the table where D was and went to get a drink from the bar in VIP, he sure didn't want to hear them argue.
"What's up?" Shyla said sitting down in the bench next to D.
"Hold on," D told her and walked off.
"What the hell?" Shyla said out loud to herself, because D was already across the room and couldn't hear her.
"Let's go," he said coming back to the table.
"D, did you forget my friends were here, I can't leave them. Where the hell are you trying to go anyway?" She asked.
"Tray got yo friends. We going home," D said and grabbed Shyla's arm pulling her up from the table.
"D what about my car?" She said.
"He got it, let's go." He said making his way to the side exit pulling Shyla with him. He had given Tray his key to Shyla's car and now he was taking Shyla home.
