Hyunjin was sat at his desk, his black hair tied back into a low bun, a couple pieces of hair sprawled randomly, yet perfectly right. He was currently staring at a blank white screen, watching a blinking cursor for what seemed like hours.
His mind was blank, just like the computer in front of him. He willed himself to think of something, anything, but it was no use. He sighed rolling back in his chair, his breath pushing his hair up and then he watched as it fell back down.
He was frustrated that he couldn't come up with anything for his latest project, of course with the way Hyunjin was, he didn't let it get to him too much.
He stood up, and walked over to his closet. It was huge, a walk-in, you could say the job paid well. He stood in his closet, picking out an outfit. A pair of ripped jeans, and a solid black button up with the front tucked in. He took out his hair and brushed it out, deciding to leave it down.
He made it outside and to his car when his phone started to ring, he answered, "I'm literally on my way Chan,"
"How long have you been driving?" The older asked, suspiciousness laced in is voice.
"Uhm- like 2 minutes.." Hyunjin replied, quietly opening his car door.
"Liar."
"I'm serious!"
Chan let out a huff on the other side of the phone, "you're literally always late, we're getting tired of waiting." He said annoyed, and somehow, Hyunjin could tell he had been given the biggest eye roll anyone could give.
"You guys can order food, I'll be there in a second. I don't know why you guys wait, when you know I'll show up when I show up." Hyunjin said adding an attitude of his own.
"Just get here!" He heard from off into the distance.
"Yes, Minho." He quickly replied and then hung up. Shivers running down his spine. He started the car and practically sped his way to the small restaurant.
They always met up there, every Friday. If one of them didn't make it, they better have a damn good reason as to why. Hyunjin had came up with the idea so their friendship wouldn't just fade away after highschool. He was scared of that type of thing, and now, well, he doesn't even show up on time to his own plans. Which they all scolded him for every week.
When he finally did arrive, he walked in and gave a nod to the owner of the small restaurant. They were all close to him, so this was pretty common. He walked over to the table and took his normal seat beside Han.
"Wow, look who decided to show up.. let's see, 15 whole minutes late." Chan said smiling widely at the younger, who could tell it was sarcastic.
"It's a new record though," Han pointed out, stuffing his face with more food.
Minho rolled his eyes, "Fuck him and that new record," he said, and then looked Hyunjin dead in the eye, "you better start showing up at a decent time or I swear to all burning hell-"
"Okay okay, I get it! I'll start showing up earlier." He said holding up a hand to silence Minho, but quickly lowered it after seeing his not so happy expression.
"We've heard that before you know," Chan said, clearly still annoyed.
"I could just leave-"
"You could," Minho agreed.
"No no! That would be against the rules and besides, we're drinking tonight." Han spoke up, wiping his face clean from all the crumbs.
"You guys know I don't drink that often," Hyunjin began to protest, but was met with his biggest fear once again, Minho. "I guess tonight's one of your not so often nights then huh?"
"I- fine, but only because I feel bad.." he closed his eyes, thinking for a moment, "this has to be peer pressure.." Hyunjin sighed and then signaled to the bartender to get the drinks ready.
Minho finally smiled, putting his grumpiness away for the time being. Chan was about to speak up until he was interrupted, "Hyunjinnn~" a voice called out.
Suddenly Hyunjin felt arms snake around his neck, "hey baby~"
"You're intruding, Jisoo," Minho said rolling his eyes. Jisoo took a step back pouting a little, it was cute, everyone had to admit, but it wasn't going to get her a spot at the table.
Hyunjin turned around to look at the girl behind him, a big smile appearing on his face. "Hi baby," Hyunjin said. Jisoo put her lips together making a few kissy noises, her smile replacing the former pout.
"Don't worry," Jisoo reassured, looking at Minho. "I'm not staying, grumpy." Hyunjin laughed at this, earning a punch on the arm.
"I just came over because I saw Hyunjinnie, you couldn't pay me to sit at a table with you,"
"Hey!" Han said, frowning. "Not you hannie," Jisoo smiled. "Anyways, I have a project coming up and they want you," she said placing a hand on Hyunjins shoulder, "to be apart of it."
"Oh, I don't know.."
"Come on Jinnie~ you're literally God sculpted!" Jisoo whined, determined to get her way, even if it meant going to such lengths.
"I mean, I think it sounds like a good opportunity, you know, with you stuck in your writers block and all." Chan spoke up, the other boys nodding in agreement as the drinks were sat down at their table.
Hyunjin, however, was still unsure. He didn't really like being the center of attention. He always preferred to keep to himself, friends, and family. People all over the world did enjoy his work, yes, but they never pressured him into having meet and greets and stuff like that.
"Think about it okay? I'll see you babe," and with that Jisoo left the restaurant, grabbing everyone's attention, her heels clicking as she walked.
It was quite hard to miss Jisoo, she was absolutely stunning. There wasn't a soul who could even argue with this fact. Despite being the popular model that she is, Jisoo had always been very sweet and fun natured.
"Just do it Hyunjin, Jisoo asks, Jisoo gets. We all know you can't say no to her," Han said bumping his shoulder suggestively. "Knock it off," Hyunjin snarled, "you know it's not like that, she's my best friend."
"I still don't get how you guys haven't slept together with the way you act around each other." Minho said taking a drink of his alcohol.
Hyunjin shrugged, "what can I say, I'm one of the girls," he then took a couple chugs of his own drink.
