Y/N's POV
"Sailing into Fire Nation waters. Of all the foolish things you've done in your sixteen years, Prince Zuko, this is the most foolish!"

"I have no choice, uncle."

"Have you completely forgotten that the Fire Lord banished you!? What if you're caught!?"

"I'm chasing the avatar! My father will understand why I'm returning home."

"You give him too much credit. My brother is not the understanding type. Y/N! Please!"

I sighed, my arms folded as I leaned against the doorway to the front of the ship, "Prince Zuko, put quite plainly, you're being stupid. The Fire Lord banished you before he even knew the avatar was alive, you're tempting his fury"

Prince Zuko scowled at me before turning his attention to the skies, "there they are. Helmsman! Full steam ahead!"

I cleared my throat, "also, your highness, it might be worth informing you that in the waters just ahead there is-"

But he finished my sentence for me, "-a blockade", his eyes wide and frozen in his realisation.

General Iroh rubbed his beard, "technically, you are still in Earth Kingdom waters. Turn back now, and they cannot arrest you"

Prince Zuko waited, staring at the avatar and his friends just ahead of us in the sky, "he's not turning around!"

General Iroh begged, "please, Prince Zuko! If the Fire Nation captures you, there is nothing I can do. Do not follow the avatar."

"I'm sorry, uncle... run the blockade!"

I rolled my eyes and turned to my soldiers, "all men, below deck. There is someone on one of those ships that I do not want to deal with right now"

Whilst I waited for the ship to turn around, I decided to finally write a letter:

Dearest Father,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am sure that word has reached you by now that I am providing assistance to Prince Zuko on his journey to capture the avatar.

I assure you that my previous mission was completed before I left and that I have not and will not do anything to harm the security of my station.

My deciding on helping the prince was not emotionally driven by the previous friendship we once shared, but by my respect to General Iroh and my ambition to have the avatar captured.
