The sound of an alarm wakes me up. I turn to see the clock, it's midnight.

-"You should get up and put your uniform or you're getting punished" - I do as I was told by the mysterious person and head to the gymnasium.

I'm the last one to arrive.

Al leyes are on me.

I walk through the crowd and eventually everyone return their attention to the man standing in the middle of the gym. It's district two Mayor, Stone Kyle.

-"Welcome to the Academy of Future Tributes, if you're here it's because you've been selected to be part of a special project. All of you will train 24/7 will be monitored, fed and trained to become future tributes of our district. You belong to the Academy now, you'll eat, breath and sleep as ordered and if you dare to disobey any of our orders, the price will be high. You'll be identified with a number and you're not allowed to leave this facility" - He set his eyes in some of the kids and left.

Peacekeepers with syringes and sheets of paper started going through all of the kids' names and ages.

-"Your arm" -said one taking me out of my trance, I looked at him suspiciously and did nothing, he took my arm put my sleeve up and took some blood and put it on the paper.

-"Clove Green, 6, orphan, number 14002" -I felt a prick on my forearm and I saw him tattooing me that number on the skin.

-"Can I go?" - He just nodded.

On the way to my room I looked at all the faces of those who would be my partners, I was the youngest.

A very unique blonde mane went through the other side of the gym. I froze.

-"¡Cato!", "¡Cato!" - From one moment to another time seemed to go much more slowly, I needed to see him ask for Cassidy, I pushed everyone who got in my way but still seemed like every step I took the farthest I was from him.

-"Cato" - I managed to get to him, I touched his shoulder while I recovered my breath.

-"Clove?" - His voice sounded strange, tired and lifeless.

When I turn to see him I understood it. His lifeless eyes were completely open; his matted hair framed his pale face. He had bruises all around his eyes and skin it just wasn't him.

I shook my head, what had they done him?

My hand flew to his cheek touching it gently, he turned away and hide his face.

-"Cato what... what"-

-"Not now Clove"- He looked around and pointed to some of the directors of the program.

I nodded.

-"Have you seen Cassidy?" -I saw how his eyes were full of tears before he wiped them with the back of his hand.

-"Come"- he took my hand and led me out of the gym.

-"The only thing I know is that they have her somewhere in the medical wing, I saw it when they were healing my wounds"-

-"We have to find her Cato, we must get out of here, I can't let them do this to you" - I caressed his cheek.

-"You know that it is impossible"-

-"You did it"-

-"Yes, and see how it ended" - he buffed and looked me in the eyes.

-"Once inside, you can't leave, because do not exist. You belong to them"-

-"All the projects to their bedrooms, the doors will be closed in five minutes"- a mechanical voice interrupted the silence.

-"We must go, meet me here tomorrow after training"-

-"That's the Cato I know" - I smiled.

-"Now go or they will do the same to you"- I nodded and ran to my bedroom, where I spent the rest of the night thinking about Cas and if I would see her again.

A/N: I finally uploaded! I've been very busy with school and dance and you know life, so I hadn't had the time to upload.

I hope you like this chapter, I kinda like it, it's mostly a filler and not very interesting but it kinda reveals where the story is headed, I hope to write the next chapter soon. And I'm sorry, I'm aware my grammar is not the best but english is not my mother tongue and it's quite hard for me to translate the text and kinda keep like the feeling of it, so I'm just rambling now, aren't I?

See you later,

Bree.
