The same routine of the previous day happened in the blink of an eye, everyone had become used to my presence, or at least they did not talk about it anymore. The whispers that were heard when I passed of others died down, and in some cases they were completely gone.
They made us went back to our rooms after the last bell, I saw the other children, the normal ones, go out and meet their parents, or their friends I even saw a pair go home alone.
I felt a strange sensation in the pit of my stomach, but I suppressed it. I couldn't start thinking about what it could have been, not now that I have a plan to carry out.
After my shower, I went back to my room. I changed my clothes and laid in bed, the same annoying alarm started ringing at exactly midnight, but this time I wasn't alone in my room.
—What... What are you doing here? —I had to squint my eyes so I could see the figure seated in front of me.
—I told you we would meet, didn't I? —I sat down in bed, searching for the flashlight Leela gave the night before.
—I waited for you, in the place we actually agreed to meet, but you weren't there— I stayed as long as I could, but I started drawing attention from the peacekeepers and had to go.
—They had me surrounded, Clove— he sighed and grimaced in pain.
—I thought they'd cured you— I hated seeing him like that. We only had a few minutes left before they started checking every room to make sure we were ready so I turned off the flashlight to change.
—They don't always make a good job— he understood my hint and turned to the door to give me some space — we don't have much time, they took Cassidy from the medical wing, it's just a matter of time before they get her out of here — now, it was my turn to sigh.
— I can't do anything about it Cato, every time I do something remotely out of the ordinary I have two peacekeepers behind me following my ever move. Not to mention the accusing looks of the other children, you gave to find out where she is, and soon—I finished tying my laces, I could feel the change in the boy's mood. He didn't like to be bossed around, but it was the only thing we could do and I would not be giving up anytime soon, not so easily specially when we both knew that it was our only shot.

Three sporadic sounds at the door flooded the room, it was a code Leela and I had come up with at lunch, so we wouldn't scare each other to death each time we needed to talk.
Cato's eyes widened, realizing that we had taken a long time in this conversation and that if they saw us in the same room we would not live to tell the tale.
—It's fine, just Leela— I smiled, and went to open the door.
—You have less than a minute to get the heck out of here, peacekeepers are turning over the corner. She glanced at the boy and frowned. —They better not see him here, or the other night's yells will be yours.
Her kind face vanished once her eyes laid on the blonde —Fine— before I could say something to him, I felt his presence pass me by and go through the door, he definitely was good at sneaking out.
We stood in front of our doors, they had to go and check every room to make sure we were there, security levels had been raised since little's blonde's escape,
—Why were you with him? — the redhead broke the silence although in a barely audible whisper, while the helmets of the agents began to appear in the corridor.
—I have to try Leela— my expression was one of determination, or at least that's what I wanted it to be.
—He's no good Clove, he's actually dangerous. I know he doesn't seem like it, but he's screwed so many people over. You need to stay away from him— her gaze returned to the line of peacekeepers who began to take the children from their doors and integrate them into a neat line.
Just when I was about to respond, one of them took my arm and scanned my tattoo he waited for the Green light and pushed me into the line, I crossed a glance with the girl hoping that she would understood that I cannot, that I must do it ... for my sister.
