Loving You the Second Time Around

CHAPTER 1

EUNJI'S POV

"MOMMY! What's for breakfast?" My little angel said while rubbing her eyes as she walked towards me lazily.

I looked at her with a smile as I spread my arms to meet her. She smiled in return and met me then lifted her up.

She wrapped her tiny legs around my waist.

"Good morning sleepy head. How was your sleep, baby?" I asked as I put her down on the counter top.

"Mommy is cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast. Just the usual, my dear." I said sweetly and kissed her cheeks.

She scrunched her nose as if she was inhaling the smell of the food.

"You woke up early. Why don't you go back to sleep since you don't have classes today?" I said and brushed her hair and placed some strands of hair at the back of her ears.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and said, "I don't want to go back to sleep mommy. I'm scared. A man might get me. He was there, in my dream. He said that he'll get me from you."

I heard little sobs coming from her. I was kinda taken aback by hearing what she had just said.

I have just finished my last piece of bacon. So, I turned off the gas stove and walked out from the kitchen together with my daughter.

We headed to the living room and I sat the couch. I let my little princess to sat on my lap.

I hugged her, trying to comfort her.

"Shhhh. No ones going to get you away from me. Mommy will protect you. And besides, it was just a dream baby. It will never  happen. I promise." I assured her and kissed her forehead.

"But can you tell mommy more what was your dream all about?" I asked.

She nodded and narrated everything. Saying that there was a man in her dream who was saying that he wanted to be with Myeonji and such.

"But mom, he wasn't that scary. I mean, he was not angry. It's just the thought that he'll get me away from you scares me. Actually, I met the guy yesterday. Maybe that's the reason why he was in my dream."

I furrowed my brows.

She met yesterday?

"I have already told you not to talk to strangers, right baby?"

She slightly nodded. "Of course mom. I always keep that in mind. He just asked some directions and he seems pretty nice. He even gave me a candy as a thanks for helping him out."

I nodded. "Okay baby, then forget about your nightmare, alright? It will never happen. Now hush. Mommy won't let that happen. I promise, Myeonji." I caressed her face and placed some strands of hair at the back of her ears.

"How about we take a bath? Since mommy doesn't have work, and baby Myeonji doesn't have a class, how about we take a stroll in the park then we'll go to the mall? You like that?" I said, cheering her up.

She smiled brightly. "Yeeeeey! I like it mommy! Okay hihihi I'm excited! I love you!" She then jumped off my lap and headed towards her room.

I stood up too to finish preparing our breakfast.

"Mommy! I'm done preparing my clothes. Let's go and have a bath." Myeonji said.

"Okay baby, just a minute. Mommy will just prepare the table." I responded.

After preparing the table, I went to the bathroom and took a bath with my angel.
