CHAPTER 17

Christmas special. (Part I)

THIRD PERSON POV

WINTER came and Seoul was covered with beautiful white snow.

A lot of people around the town can be seen in the busy streets even though the weather was pretty cold.

Seoul night was covered with different pretty lights, and Christmas carols/songs can be heard from the different establishments around the city.

Christmas trees are also present around the area in every home and building with variety of designs.

Indeed, Christmas spirit can be felt everywhere.

"Mom! Are we going to celebrate our Christmas eve with my aunts?" Myeonji asked to her mom.

"No baby, we cannot. They have a schedule later. Then after that, they will go home to their own families to celebrate Christmas with them. We will celebrate ours here at our house. Just you and me." Eunji explained while washing the dishes.

The kid frowned because of that. "Oh! I thought we will celebrate with them, but that's fine! At least we're together." Myeonji smiled, and hugged her mom from the back.

They had their mother-daughter bonding as they prepared foods for their Christmas eve.

"Mom? Can I play outside?" Myeonji asked.

"You'll catch a cold baby." Eunji said.

"No I will not mom. I promise! I'll put a scarf, a beanie and have three layers of jacket. Please~" Myeonji pleaded and did some aegyo as she blinked her eyes several times.

Eunji cannot stand her daughter's cuteness and hugged her. She also kissed her cheeks and nodded, giving the kid her permission.

"Aright. You're cuteness is my weakness."

Myeonji laughed and returned the hug. After that, she ran upstairs to change her clothes so that she can play outside.

When she's done getting dressed, she hurriedly ran her way downstairs and straightly went outside their house.

There were other kids, and those who are kids at heart, who wrere already playing in the snow while having so much fun.

Myeonji saw her friends and went straightly to their spot then started playing with her.

They were throwing snowballs when Myeonji accidentally hit an elder who was just passing by the street.

Because of shock and nervousness, Myeonji couldn't move her feet and she was about to cry, but the elder smiled at her and said...

"It's okay little girl. You didn't intentionally hit me. You don't have to get scared." Then he patted Myeonji's head and gave her a smile.

Myeonji's fear and the nervousness faded when she saw the man smiling at her.

"Thank you, grandpa. Merry Christmas to you!" Myeonji cheerfully said and smiled.

"There, you smiled. Don't stay too long outside, you might catch a cold. Bye! Merry Christmas to you too." The elder waved his hand as he walked away.

"Good bye granpda!" Myeonji waved back with a smile.

She continued playing until her mom called her, and said that her favorite Kpop group, Apink, is currently performing.

She bid goodbye to her friends, and ran back to her house. She was too excited to see her Aunties perform.
