In her mind, Rosemary had an idea of how that night was supposed to go for her and Luke. They'd spend quality time together, they'd watch movies, and she'd fall asleep in his arms... If she woke up from a haunting dream, then so be it. But in reality, she had no such luck - even those damned dreams would've been preferable.

To her, she had ruined the night when she lost control in a way that she could not have predicted. Not just because of the way she reacted to Luke and his concerns, no... She'd lost control before she'd even entered the kitchen where things all seemed to go wrong.
When Luke had told her what she'd been doing moments before she'd shattered that glass in the kitchen, she was in shock. Of course, she'd blacked out after that glass shattered... But she had no recollection of even entering the kitchen.

There was no recollection of telling Luke she was getting up to refill her drink. No recollection of finishing that movie. She couldn't even pinpoint the last part of the movie that she was aware of... So what happened? Where did her mind go for those brief moments, and how did she continue to engage with Luke and move around whilst not even being cognisant of herself and her surroundings?

Although she couldn't understand it - which terrified her - it was a form of disassociation brought on by that damned spell breaking. She had no firm connections to reality in that moment, moving on auto-pilot whilst her consciousness began to wander off, exploring her subconscious before she was struck with one of those flashbacks that froze her in the kitchen, triggering her magic and catching Luke's attention.

This flashback was different from the others. It almost immediately escaped her once she came back to reality, but it was returning to her now that she sat in the hallway by herself, back pressed against the door that Luke had walked out of only moments earlier, sliding down until she was sat on the floor with her knees pulled desperately to her chest...

The memory that had stolen her away was in a familiar setting. That forest, with the light rain and the candles and... And Calum. He'd always been there, she knew that - but this time, in this blurry flashback, she'd opened her foggy eyes and seen two pairs of legs standing about a meter away from her. It took her a moment to realise she was lying on the floor, then her eyes scanned upwards... Saw Sebastian standing there. Calum wasn't holding her this time - he was facing Sebastian, looking regretful. Looking fearful.

"Don't you fucking dare, Calum! Don't you touch her." Sebastian had exclaimed, causing Calum to flinch as he tried to stifle his falling tears.

"I- I just wanted to help her, Sebastian, I didn't-"

"You wanted to help her? By giving her your fucking blood, you- you think that'll undo this?! I told you she couldn't handle this spell, Calum! I told you this was too much but you only think about yourself. Do you have any idea the damage you could've done?!" Sebastian spat as he raised a hand and Calum immediately yelped out in pain, doubling over - almost falling to the floor entirely.

Somehow, in the depths of Rosemary's memories, she knew that he'd never done that to Calum before... Even in her semi conscious state, weak and slumped on that forest floor, she knew that she wanted to defend Calum. She wanted to get up and scream at Sebastian and help Calum and run away with him. But she couldn't even muster the strength to keep her eyes open... It didn't feel right. Something was horribly wrong.

Then Sebastian was scooping her up off of the ground, carrying her away. Then she was fading back out of consciousness. Then she was awake. She was in Luke's arms. The flashback was over.
