No One's POV

Ever since that Nova Attack at West Genetics, they've been sent on more missions. And every time, Jace, has shown that a Spartan can be a dominant force on the battle field. Right now, they're heading to a base where Pandora are being gathered, along with him. 

Jace POV

We're being taken by an airship and I'm sitting there with my Mark 4 armor in better condition than it was last time. Holding my helmet on my lap, while Rana complains about the climate as we're flying through Alaska. 

Rana: The cold is unbearable... Hold me please! 

I stare at her with a straight face and look at what I'm wearing. 

Jace: Rana. I'm wearing a 1,000 pound suit made out of a titanium alloy. I don't think your gonna get warmer. Rather. Colder.

Rana: Aw...

Satellizer: Volt Textures do have cold protection and heat protection capabilities. 

Jace: So does my suit. 

Rana: Oh why yes, it must've escaped my mind!

I tilt my head in confusion on how she could forget such a thing, but I shrug it off and look back at the floor again. Then I perk my head up when the Pilots pick up a distress signal. 

Jace: A distress signal. 

The girls strap in while I put on my helmet just in case. My motion sensors track anything within 50 feet and they pick up something. Satellizer goes to our side to look through the window. 

Jace: Strange. My motion sensors are only picking up movement from one being. 

I also look through the window, and the search light lands on a Nova. I put 2 fingers on the side of my helmet and talk to the pilots. 

Jace: This is Spartan Jace, did you pick up any dimensional vibrations when the Nova appeared. 

Pilot: This blizzard is hell, none of our equipment is functioning properly. 

Then someone else is on the line. 

???: I've got this under control. 

Not recognizing the voice I listen instead of talking to the woman. 

???: About three kilometers ahead of your location is a Chevalier Petroleum Storage base. Your priority is to stop the Type S and defend the base at all costs. 

Jace: Engaging a Type S with 2 Pandora and one Spartan doesn't seem like the best course of action. 

???: At ease Spartan, reinforcements are on their way. 

Jace: Copy. 

???: If that base is compromised the environmental damage would be catastrophic. The petroleum reserves will result in sea water contamination. You're the only ones who can stop that from happening. 

Jace: Understood. 

Then the pilot talks through again. 

Pilot: The wind is too choppy to make a safe landing, once the hatch is opened commence combat operations immediately. 

Jace: Understood. 

I then get up and get my assault rifle, cock it, and make sure it's loaded. Along with my side arm and a few grenades. 

Rana: Would someone care to translate. 

Jace: Once the hatch of this ship opens, we jump out, and fight.
