The Pandora And The Spartan (Spartan II x Freezing)

Nova Attack Pt. 1

Jace POV

Dual Magnums, ammo? Check. 

BR55 Battle Rifle, scope? Good. Ammo? Check.

MA5 Assault Rifle. Ammo? Check. 

Fragmentation Grenades. Check. 

Combat Knife. It's blade? Sharp. 

Suit systems? All good.

After checking my equipment and my suit to make sure each is good for battle, I equip my weapons. I put a magnum on my right leg and I put the other on my other leg. I put my BR55 Battle rifle on my back. Put the frag grenades on the side of my waist, and my combat knife on the other side. Finally, I carry my MA5 Assault Rifle with my hands. Like they say in the intercom I go to the Auditorium. 

Yu-Mi: Four Nova have appeared. We believe they are the same ones that attacked East earlier and absorbed all their Pandora. The fourth-years we sent to help them have not made it back yet. Therefore our only choice is to assemble new Platoons. The Third-Years will provide defense at each of our gates. For most of you I'm sure this will be your first time in an actual fight. But if you show the same strength you've shown every day at this school, I have confidence that you can defeat the Nova. Second-Years and limiters will stand by until further notice. That is all. 

As soon as briefing is done, every Pandora and Limiter go to their assigned mission. All but one Pandora, Satellizer. I walk to her, rifle in hand, ready to go to battle. 

Jace: We'll be moving out soon. 

I stand next to her, looking up at the big screens, then I turn my head to look at her. 

Jace: Seems like you'll have to stay put. 

Satellizer: No way. I'd rather fight than sit here and wait. 

Jace: Orders are orders. Second-Years are on standby. 

Satellizer: I don't want to repeat myself. 

I know that tone of voice, she isn't gonna listen. 

Jace: In that case I'll back you up. 

Satellizer: I don't need it. 

Jace: I wasn't asking. 

I say as I look at her walk. Then, Rana comes to us. 

Rana: If she wont let you then I'd be glad to be your partner in her place. 

I turn my head slightly, knowing what might happen if Rana doesn't choose her next words carefully. 

Rana: So I assume you accept your defeat. Is that right? Did you hear me? Good. I'll say it again, I assume you accept your defeat, do you?

Satellizer: Not a chance. I won't lose to you, or anyone. 

I sigh at what's about to happen and place my Assault Rifle to the side, as both girls summon their volt weapons. They then dash at each other, but I stand in the middle of both of them. 

Jace: That's enough. 

They both stop in their tracks. 

Jace: Correct me. But you didn't become Pandora to fight over one small disagreement did you? No. Like any soldier, your job as well as mine, is to protect humanity. If that can't get through you. 

I go and pick up my Assault Rifle and look at them both. 

Jace: Then why are you still here. 

I turn away from them and tune into different frequencies with my helmet to hear what's going on. But, most of it I can't make out since it's all pretty much yelling. I turn to the screen and the intercom announces that the enemy are also Enemy Pandora that have been corrupted by the Nova. This announcement makes Satellizer and Rana run out the door. I do nothing to stop them, instead, I follow. 

Jace: Satellizer. 

She stops in her tracks, so I hold my assault rifle in one hand, but she doesn't turn around. 

Jace: Turn around, and look at me. 

She still doesn't so I go over and put my hand on her shoulder. And turn her to me. Once I do that, I grab my helmet with one hand, and take it off. Satellizer looks at my face, before her expression turns to one of sadness. 

Satellizer: I waited... 

Jace: ...I know. 

Satellizer: I never knew it was actually you. Until I overheard you... 

She then looks at the helmet I'm holding in my hand, then at me. 

Satellizer: How long did you know. 

Jace: What--

Satellizer: How long?!

Jace: ...I started remembering since the first time I saw you here at West Genetics.

She looks away unable to muster up any words in light that I'm here, after years that she didn't know what happened to me. Then my helmet starts beeping. So I put it on.

Com: Attention. Second-Year students, Ganessa Roland, Satellizer L. Bridget, and Rana Linchen. And Spartan Jace. Report for duty. 

Rana: What? 

Jace: Let's go then. 

I start to run ahead while the girls follow behind me. We meet where we're supposed to go, and see the Headmistress. 

Jace: Headmistress. 

Sister Margaret: Would all of you please come with me. 

We follow her in some elevator, and it takes us down. Once we reach our destination, the doors open for us. We then continue to follow the Headmistress. 

Sister Margaret: Our highest ranked Third-Years are assigned to this area as well. However, if they happen fail in their duty, protect this place with your lives. 

We finally arrive in front of large doors that look like they're protecting something inside. 

Jace: What are we protecting, Headmistress?

Sister Margaret: The Holy Remains. 

I tilt my head, then the large doors open, the Headmistress walks inside, and the doors close behind her. Leaving us as a line of defense for what's inside. 

Rana: What are these, "Holy Remains"? 

Ganessa: I don't know, why would I know about some corpse?

Jace: Supposedly, it's the body of the woman who gave birth to all Pandora. 

After a moment, we hear something get destroyed, then rumbling. 

Ganessa: Sounds like the party is getting started. 

Jace: In that case. 

I cock my assault rifle. 

Jace: Let's get ready for a fight.
