The Pandora And The Spartan (Spartan II x Freezing)

Jace POV

The next day I walk around campus a bit as I usually do. And since last night's fight I've been getting a lot of mixed looks from limiters mostly, and occasionally some Pandora. But when classes end I'm approached by Kaho and Arthur. They ask me about the fight that took place last night and my Freezing abilities. But, I don't have a satisfying answer for them.

Kaho: You mean you don't know?

Jace: That's right.

Kaho: So you're answer is you don't know? Honestly, knowing you I expected a better answer. That's just weird. You're a Spartan, with a Limiter's powers, you've never been Baptized, yet you cast a freezing out of nowhere. 

Jace: I knew I was Limiter long before I cast a Freezing. However, I do not know how I did it. 

Kaho: Well... What does Satellizer have to say about it? 

Jace: Unknown. 

Kaho: What does that mean?

Jace: Nothing yet. 

Kaho: Huh?! You put your life on the line to save her and you don't even get a lousy "Thank you" ?! 

She's right in front of me, so with a finger I put it on her shoulder and gently push her back. Then I turn my attention to Arthur. 

Arthur: Exactly what we've been telling you, that Satellizer is nothing but bad news. I mean I don't know about you, but I get how someone can get sucked in by a beauty like that. 

Kaho: Roses are beautiful but that doesn't mean that roses don't hurt. 

Arthur: Uh huh, and she has the biggest thorns of all. 

They look at me as I am looking past them and down the hallway. When they look behind them, they see Satellizer. 

Jace: Mind your surroundings before speaking about someone. 

Arthur: Oh! Good afternoon ma'am! Y'know we were just talking about your beauty and here you are!

Kaho: Yeah! All the boys in our class are absolutely smitten for you! 

They keep trying to make up excuses but I just cover their mouths with my hands. 

Jace: It's better if you stop talking, it's obviously not working. 

I then turn my attention to Satellizer.

Satellizer: So... listen. 

Jace: Ma'am. 

Satellizer: I wish to speak to you in private. Follow me. 

I nod and take my hands off Arthur and Kaho's mouths. Then start following Satellizer and we end up on the roof, with me standing next to her. 

Jace: You didn't bring me here to see the sight did you? 

I turn to her and she looks at me. She then takes my hand and looks at it. 

Jace: Sorry, the nanocomposite suit is attached to the--

She then puts my hand on her cheek regardless if it's covered. Which honestly I didn't expect, and I started to feel... awkward in a way. 

Jace: Gloves...

She held it in place for a moment before letting go of my hand and speak again. 

Satellizer: You're alright... I had a feeling you were. Even when you touch me, it doesn't make me feel bad, It makes me feel... safe... I only felt like this with one other person...
