Chapter Six - The Faithful Servant

As the Shadow Collective set out to help Doctor Skaal, Kurogiri uses his Warp Power to warp himself and the Shadow Collective o Gundstaff's Compound. Once inside the compound, they found the compound to be in tatters. 

Toga: This place got totally trashed! 

Twice: What do you think happened? PROBABLY THE MURK RAIDERS!

Muscular: Don't look at us! We never knew this place existed. 

Kurogiri: For a good reason. This place was a closely guarded secret. Gundstaff was once a faithful servant to the Cyclonian Empire. His position as a Crystal researcher was invaluable. But then the Storm Hawks turned him against Master Cyclonis.

Shigaraki: The Storm Hawks. I keep hearing that name as much as All Might. I can't wait to kill them all.....

Suddenly, the ground began to shake. The shaking was rhythmic, like footsteps. After a moment, they were approached by an enormous individual, about the height of a large tree with a musclebound build. His brown hair is spiky and parts of his body appear to be jagged, much like rock. His teeth are prominently pointed, his lower canines protruding out of his mouth on either side. Hanging around his neck was a portable radio. The giant looks down on the Shadow Collective and slowly approaches them. 

???: So you are the one who shall succeed All For One? 

Shigaraki: I am. Who are you?

Kurogiri: That would be Gigantomachia. He once served as All For One's personal bodyguard until All For One sent him away. 

Gigantomachia: We brought the entire Atmos to it's knees. Now I await his return. 

Shigaraki: All For One has been defeated....by All Might. I have been chosen by him to lead his cause.  

Gigantomachia: What?! Defeated?! My lord, why didn't you come for me? I would've died for you. No. I would've slain death itself! As for you, you should not have come here. You....you are weak. 

Without warning, Gigantomachia slammed his fists to the ground, causing a massive shockwave, blasting everyone back. Suddenly, Gigantomachia calls out his master's name. 

Gigantomachia: Why have you allowed your servant to be reduced to this? Why have you chosen such weaklings to serve you?!

Shigaraki: I am not weak! I was chosen by All For One himself to inherit his kingdom! To burn down the old world!

Gigantomachia: A king... must inspire dread. Must be admired. Must be strong. A king... is one... who commands respect. Someone who is strong. You....are no king......

As Gigantomachia says this, Shigaraki commands the Shadow Collective to attack the hulking man. In a battle of attrition, the Shadow Collective battled against Gigantomachia. Despite outnumbering him, the Shadow Collective was unable to press the attack. As the Shadow Collective battled against Gigantomachia, Shigaraki thought his desire for destruction. His mind soon fell to the day he first invaded Atmos under All For One's orders. 

Shigaraki:(Past) Look at them. Before this, these fools were living out their hollow glory and their false peace. Now look at them. I wonder if they realized just how pointless their ideas of justice really is.

All For One: They shall soon find out, Tomura Shigaraki. In this Terra lies the Symbol of Peace. For too long, All Might has been a blight on the world. This will be All Might's last stand.

Shigaraki relished in that possibility. He had long awaited this moment for a long time.

All For One: There will be no tomorrow for the Sky Knights. When All Might dies, all hope for the Sky Knights will die with it. And from it's ashes, a better order shall rise.

As Shigaraki said this, he began laughing. 

Shigaraki: My mind's empty beyond those flashes and fragments, and yet... there's a heaviness in my heart. Like a lump of lead, never moving. Fueling the rage that propels me, but never brings relief. Even if we bring down hero society... even if I rule the ruins from the shadows.. that lead will be with me all my life. That's why I despise all in existence. All that lives and breathes. Presses on the weight in my soul. So then, why shouldn't I destroy it? Why must I suffer it? When this world falls, we'll see the glorious new horizon that awaits. So why not lend me a hand? I'll show you the holes of heaven, and the depths of hell. 

As Shigaraki says that, he leads the Shadow Collective in a daring charge against Gigantomachia. In a hard fought battle, Gigantomachia found himself slowly being overwhelmed by the Shadow Collective. After a hard fought battle, Gigantomachia was brought to his knees. 

Gigantomachia: I....I was wrong.....my master....chose well. As per my master's orders, I shall follow you, Tomura Shigaraki. 

Gigantomachia then kneels before Shigaraki. Shigaraki smiles at Gigantomachia's loyalty. 

Shigaraki: I will inherit All For One's kingdom. I will burn the old world to ashes. All Might, the Storm Hawks, Ravess, Snipe and anyone else who stands in my way shall die. 

In that moment, Shigaraki had gained a powerful servant in the form of Gigantomachia. After that, Shigaraki and the Shadow Collective collected the research Doctor Skaal desired. Once they had it, Kurogiri warps them away from Gundstaff's compound. With the research now in their hands, Tomura Shigaraki was now one step closer to not only reclaiming the Cyclonian Empire from Ravess and Snipe, but follow All For One's vision and unleash hell upon the Sky Knights. But for now, Shigaraki would focus on restoring the Shadow Collective's power.
