Inside a tunnel of a giant Energon mine, Nevada, Earth...

Present days...

Spectra doesn't expect that sudden explosion in her dream. She inhales and exhales three times to calm down. She puts her hand on her forehead while leaning against the wall.

"No..." she says with a sad tone, "It can't be... Tarn..."

Now Spectra knows it, the death of Tarn, of the one who cared about her more than everyone. A long time after their latest talk, she went to Earth in order to escape Megatron and his trail of destruction, thinking it was a safer place due to the distance between it and Cybertron. After that, she was waiting for Tarn for a long time, and always asked herself why he wasn't coming. And now she knows why.

He's dead...Spectra says to herself, He's dead and nothing will bring him back, nothing...

The depressive thoughts get to her and she starts to cry, but...

"Did you hear that?" says a mysterious voice. Spectra stops her crying. She gets up, facing the direction where the voice came and changes her hands into her blasters.

"What? What am I supposed to hear?" says another voice.

"I've heard something that sounded like cries over here," continues the first voice, "Let's check to see..."

Spectra hears footsteps approaching closer and closer, and she sees three vehicons.

"Decepticons..." Spectra whispers.

"Well, well, well, look who's there..." says the middle vehicon.

"If it isn't the blue Autobot of the team of Prime. And alone," says one of the three.

"Yeah... She's white..." replies another vehicon on.

"What?" Spectra says confused, "What are you talking about?"

"We," the middle vehicon drags out his words "are talking about you, err...What's her name again?" he asks one of the two other vehicons on his.

"I think it's Arcee."

"Uh-hum!" says Spectra abruptly. "I don't know who you are talking about, but I'm not her!"

"-Yeah, yeah, sure!" says the one in the middle "You can lie as long as you can!"

"I'm not-!" She's cut off as a GroundBridge appears behind the three vehicons.

"Autobots!" screams one vehicon.

Blasts shoot out from the GroundBridge, killing the three vehicons, at the same time that Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Arcee, Bumblebee, Smokescreen and Wheeljack appear. Spectra steps back several times.

"Wow," says Wheeljack, "that's a giant Energon mine."

"Hey!" shouts Smokescreen as he spots Spectra, "who's she?"

Spectra goes speechless for a moment but retakes her defensive pose.

"Wow, wow, wow," Wheeljack tries to placate the stranger, "Take it easy, we don't want to hurt you."

"You already did," growls Spectra, not at all interested in keeping the exchange diplomatic.

"What?"Arcee is perplexed

"You killed my best friend," bites out Spectra..

"Wh-What are you talking about?" wonders Bulkhead, as he turns to address the other Autobots, "We never killed anyone, did we?"

"If you're excluding Makeshift and lots of vehicons... no, we didn't," deadpans Arcee, "But who was your best friend?" she inquires nonetheless.

Spectra thinks for a while pondering if it's safe to give away her friend's name to his killers, even though he was no longer alive. She doesn't know where their loyalties lie and could be putting herself in danger. "Tarn," she ultimately replies

"What?!" exclaim all the Autobots except for Optimus.

"Tarn..." Optimus repeated the name under his breath.

"But- How can he even be your best friend?" the surprise makes Ultra Magnus' voice rise comically high, "He's a heartless murderer!"

"Not at all," Spectra sighs heavily, "We have been best friends since we met each other. And what you did was to kill him! You are the heartless murderers!"

"You dare-!" Ultra Magnus doesn't' get to finish his sentence, before being shot by Spectra's blasters.

She strikes Optimus in the chest, pushing him. Bulkhead tries to attack her, but she activates her intangible device to pass through him and deactivates it to kick Bulkhead from behind. She makes the same strategy as Smokescreen and Wheeljack. Bumblebee tries to shoot at her, but she avoids his blasts and knocks Bee down. She turns back and points her blasters to Arcee, who was pointing her own blasters to Spectra.

"That was impressive," admits Arcee, "You're very skilled, just like me."

"Perhaps the fact that I've beaten all your 'buddies' means that I can also beat you," Spectra snarls.

"We'll see," Arcee takes a fighting pose, "And this time, no intangibility devices."

"As you wanted. -Spectra replied.
