The Nemesis, night time...
After the surprising episode of Tarn's corpse, everything aboard the Nemesis returned to its usual atmosphere, with Vehicons usually patrolling the hallways. And in one hallway, three Vehicons were talking:
"How do you think Tarn's corpse survived almost entirely the missile?" One of them said,
"Don't know," The second one answered, "probably pure luck. But the other bodies really didn't get that same chance."
"I don't think it was luck," The third replied, "Tarn was probably in a place where the missile's damage was minimal. And speaking of bodies, do you have any ideas about what happened to the Mini-Con medic of the DJD? The squadron said that they didn't find her anywhere."
"Nickel, you mean?"The second one spoke in reply of the third Vehicon, "Well, if you want my opinion. She probably survived the missile and ran somewhere."
While they were talking, they didn't notice a little Cybertronian who infiltrated the Decepticon ship. Spectra ran hallway after hallway until arriving at one of the ship's laboratories' doors. She used her intangibility device to pass through the door and put herself against the wall as she saw Shockwave repairing Tarn's corpse, already about to finish.
"Tarn...," she whispered.
She looked at the laboratory's furniture, on which there was a green glowing shard of Energon being scanned by a little machine. Spectra soon recognized the green shard as hers, and she walked silently towards the furniture. However, she accidentally made a tool fall to the floor when she tried to reach the green Energon with her servo, drawing Shockwave's attention. But as the latter looked back, he only sees the tool on the floor. He shrugged it off before returning to repair Tarn's shell. Spectra, who was now hidden behind the furniture, took this opportunity to grab her green shard of Energon out of the scanning machine. She prudently went back toward the door but noticed that the noise Shockwave usually made when repairing something has stopped. She turned around to check out the reason, but there was no Shockwave to be seen.
"Where did he-?" she started.
"Going somewhere?" Shockwave's voice resonated behind her.
Spectra quickly turned back as Shockwave was about to strike her. But she activated her intangibility device and Shockwave's fist passed right through her.
"What the-?" Shockwave said out of surprise as he retrieved his fist.
Spectra deactivated her device and kicked Shockwave's head as he fell to the floor, knocked out. Knockings were heard at the laboratory's door, Starscream's voice getting through the panel.
"Shockwave? Are you done repairing Tarn?" he paused, "Are you even in here? I don't hear anything."
Spectra used her intangibility device to go through one of the laboratory's walls. She was in a hallway, and started to move, hugging the walls in order to avoid being seen by a patrol and alarming the crew of the Nemesis. She heard multiple hurried footsteps, some of them getting closer to the hallway she was in. She moved to a shadowed part of the wall. She saw multiple Vehicons, blasters ready, running across the hallway. Once the Vehicons ran past her hiding spot, Spectra saw a big roof trapdoor and took that opportunity to escape to the ship's roof. But as soon as she walked to the trapdoor, a purple blast went right next to her and exploded on the hallway's floor.
"Well, hello again. Who said you could leave?" She heard a familiar voice behind her.
Spectra looked in the direction of the voice and sure enough, Megatron was pointing his cannon at her.
"I believe that this green energon shard belongs to me," he said quite firmly, "It was really unwise of you to infiltrate my ship like that. Give it to me, or don't, you shall die either way ."
"I'm sorry, Megatron, but I am the owner of this shard. You shouldn't have taken it from me."
Megatron still sounded amused, clearly not taking her seriously, "Why's that?"
"Because I will always take it back."
Bored by the unoriginal answer, Megatron shot at Spectra, but she dodged it. Megatron shot again multiple times, but didn't seem to be able to hit Spectra even once.
"Bye, bye," she called back before jumping over the trapdoor .
Megatron stood quiet, angry that Spectra got away with the green energon. He soon calmed down, though.
"Shockwave!" he shouted. The scientist arrived behind Megatron.
"Yes, Lord Megatron?"
"Is Tarn ready?"
As soon as he said it, slow, heavy steps were heard and purple glowing optics appeared in the darkness of the hallway.
"Good..." Megatron straightened up, "I have a mission for you, Tarn. Are you ready?"
"Yes, Lord Megatron."
